As a school counselor, I have the honor of working with students, teachers, and parents to help make each school year as successful as possible.  School counselors provide a warm and caring atmosphere where students feel comfortable seeking assistance if emotional support is needed.  I am available to work with students on an individual basis, in a small group setting or in classroom guidance.  Classroom guidance lessons provide wonderful opportunities for students to learn about such topics as responsibility, conflict resolution, peer pressure, respect, coping skills, and bullying.  A student may come see me through self, parent or teacher referral.  I will be working with 2nd, 4th and 5th grade students in classroom guidance, small groups and individually. 
 
Reasons a student may wish to see a counselor:
-Conflict with friend, teacher or parents
-Stress at home or school
-Sadness
-Loss/Grief
-Changes in family
-Study Skills/Organization
-Share happy/excited feelings
