As new technologies continue to change the world in which we live, they also provide many new and positive educational benefits for classroom instruction. To encourage this growth, Sharon Elementary wants to encourage students to join the initiative,
“Bring Your Own Technology.” (B.Y.O.T.)

Definition of “Technology”

For purposes of BYOT, “technology” means privately owned wireless and portable electronic hand-held devices that can be used for word processing, wireless Internet access, image capturing/recording, sound recording and information transmitting/receiving/storing, etc.

In order for your child to bring in personal technology devices, your child's homeroom teacher must have on file a signed copy of the Sharon Elementary BYOT Protocol.
