Fogarty, Robyn

I am very excited to be teaching at Sharon Elementary.  This is my 20th year of teaching elementary school in Georgia and New Hampshire!  I am married to my wonderful husband, John, and have 4 sons, Shane 21, Zachary 20, Ryan 14 and Kyle 8.  We are always busy and having fun with the family.  My favorite things to do are reading, hiking, boating, shopping and playing (or watching!) sports (especially the New England Patriots!).

I grew up in Pennsylvania and received my teaching degree at California University of PA.  After college, I moved to GA where I began my career teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade.  My family and I moved to NH for two years where I taught 2nd grade, then we moved back to GA for 3 years and I taught 3rd grade.  Our family missed the seasons and beauty of New England, so we moved back to NH for 3 years and I taught a year each in 1st grade, 2nd grade and 5th grade.  Even though we absolutely love New Hampshire we decided to move back (for good!) to be closer to family. We are excited to have made our home in Forsyth County.   I am absolutely thrilled to work with you and your child to make their 3rd grade year a wonderful experience.

Welcome to Third Grade!  I'm thrilled to be spending the year with you.  We have many wonderful things planned and I can’t wait to get started!

I wanted to give you a little information about myself.  I was born and raised in Crystal City, Missouri where most of my family still resides.  Georgia has been home to me for the past twenty three years.  My husband Tyler and I have two amazing children.  Ally is in eighth grade at South Forsyth, and Tanner is a senior at Lambert.  Our family also has a precious rescue dog named Rooney.

I earned my Elementary Education Degree from Florida Southern in 1991.  I then went on to earn my Early Childhood Master’s Degree from Southeast Missouri State University while working as a graduate assistant volleyball coach.  This will be my seventeenth year in public education.   After taking some time off to be with my family I was hired at Sharon and have happily taught third grade for four years.

My active family and coaching keeps me VERY busy.  This will be my fourth year as the varsity volleyball coach at Lambert.  A lot of my time is spent in the stands cheering on Tanner and Ally as they play for their teams.  This is by far my favorite thing to do!

I'm really looking forward to a fabulous year in third grade!

 Letsch, Jenny

Hello, and welcome to third grade! I am so excited to be a part of the Sharon family this year and especially spend valuable time with these smart, fun, and eager students! I have been involved with Sharon both as a parent, a volunteer, and as a substitute for the past 3 years and have loved every moment. It was my time as a long-term substitute this past year in fourth grade, that really made me miss teaching. I am so happy to be back doing what I truly love.
I earned my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Birmingham-Southern College and my Master's in Reading Instruction from the University of Montevallo. I also earned my gifted endorsement from the state of Georgia in 2001. I taught in public elementary school for 8 years. Three of those years I taught in Birmingham, Alabama as a 2nd grade teacher. I then moved to Georgia where I taught in Canton Elementary as a 1st grade gifted cluster teacher for five years. In 2002, I was named Canton Elementary's Teacher of the Year and participated in Harvard University's Project Zero.  My years as a teacher are some of my best and there is nothing I love more than helping students love their learning and reach their highest potentials.
When I am not teaching, you can usually find me enjoying my time with my family. My husband Ken and I have been married for 12 years and we are lucky enough to have our two kids at Sharon. Jack will be in 5th grade, and Emmie will be in 3rd. In my spare time, I enjoy being anywhere with water, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. I am delighted to be your child's teacher and I look forward to a stellar year together!

Osborne, Susan

Hello!  My name is Susan Osborne.  I began my college career at Purdue University, and completed my degree at North Georgia College and State University.  I have a B.S degree in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K thru 5th grade) with an endorsement in reading.  I have experience in all those grade levels, and then moved to Forsyth County from another Georgia school district.  This will be my twelfth year at SES and my fourteenth year working with third graders!

I have been working in the educational field for over thirty years, and moved to Georgia with my family 26 years ago from Indiana.  Georgia is now home and we love the milder winters.  My husband Don and I have two grown children, and enjoy our time with family and friends.
Third grade is an awesome age, and I look forward to a great school year!

Welcome to 3rd Grade! I hope you and your family are having a fun and relaxing summer vacation.

I wanted to give you a little information about myself. I was born and raised in Toccoa, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Mike and I have three beautiful children. McKenzie will be in 10th Grade at Lambert, Michael will be in 7th Grade at South Forsyth Middle School, and Jack will be in 5th Grade here at Sharon. They are the loves of our life, and we enjoy every minute we spend with them! I am a huge sports fan. I love UGA football, watching my kids play sports, shopping, reading magazines, and I also love listening to country music.

This is my 19th year teaching in Forsyth County. I taught four years in Kindergarten, one year in 1st grade, and fourteen years in 3rd grade. Every year has been exciting and memorable, as I have been lucky to teach such wonderful students. Sharon Elementary School is a great place where I truly enjoy being around such enthusiastic students, staff, and parents.

In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect.  I work hard build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork.  I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers.  I believe that great things can happen when we work together! Sharon is a place where I really feel like part of a strong community and part of a winning team. This year will be fun and exciting.  I am committed to teaching your child in a positive, supportive, and loving environment in which every child is successful! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my love for learning with your child.

Slappy, Cindy

I am so happy to be at Sharon Elementary, working with the best staff, the best parents and the best students! I was born and raised in Ohio, but moved to Georgia with my family in 1984. After graduating from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, I began my teaching career in Cobb County. I taught 3rd grade (my favorite!) in the same school, even the same room for 10 years! During that time I met and married my husband, Jackson. We moved to Jacksonville, Florida and then Charleston, South Carolina. During my 8 years in Florida and South Carolina I continued teaching as a reading safety-net teacher, kindergarten special education teacher and a science lab instructor. Finally,  8 years ago, we made it back to Georgia! I worked again in Cobb County for 2 years as a science lab instructor. My love of science is enormous and I love to share my lab experiences with the students of Sharon! This will be my fifth year working here at Sharon and I am excited for my next group of third graders!

My home is a busy place with my husband, Jackson and my 3 children. My daughter, Rachel (20) is a junior at the University of Tennessee studying biomedical engineering. Emily is a senior (17) and attends  Lambert High School. My youngest, Ryan (14) will be joining his sister at Lambert as a freshman! I also have a super cute Schnauzer named Quincy! I spend my weekends cheering for my kids at all their sporting events, boating on Lake Lanier, taking Quincy to the dog park, and driving up to Tennessee to see my daughter! Go Vols!

I received my B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia (yes, I am a HUGE BULLDOG fan). I have four beautiful children!  Ryan, my son will be an 9th grader this year at Lambert! Olivia, my "baby" will be a 6th grader at South Forsyth Middle.  My step-daughter, Caroline,  will be a 5th grader at Creekview Elementary, and the baby of our family, my step-son, Chris, will be a 3rd grader at Creekview as well!  In my free time, I love to read, cook, run, SHOP, and spend time with my sweet husband and our crazy crew of kids!!  Not necessarily in that order!!

This is my 20th year teaching. I began my teaching career in Gwinnett County at Simpson Elementary. I have taught Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grades. After taking a few years off to spend a little extra time at home, I returned to teaching at Sharon. WIlson, Casey

Welcome to Third Grade! I am thrilled to be at the beginning of another school year! I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Teaching is what I love to do and it's where my heart is. I love helping students learn, grow, and evolve as they continue on their educational journey. This school year marks my 11th year of teaching. I spent the first 6 years of my career teaching second grade in Jackson County. This year is my 5th year as a third grade teacher at Sharon Elementary. I could not be more proud to call myself a Sharon Knight!

I moved to Georgia a little over ten years ago and have loved living here! I am originally from NY, and went to college in Boston, Massachusetts. While in Boston, I earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Human Development. I later went on to earn a Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. My husband Matt and I have been married for eight years and we have three beautiful children. My step-daughter Dianna will be a freshman this year at Lambert; our son Matthew Jr. ("MJ") is 5 years old and will be in kindergarten here at Sharon, and our youngest, Shea, will be 3 in November. We also have one dog named Ollie. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family, watch football (go Giants!), cook, and bake.

I am looking forward to a fun-filled year!
