Welcome to the Silver City Media Center!!!

Battle of the Books Competition is on Wednesday!

Silver City Elementary will hold its first Battle of the Books Competition!

America's Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program for students in 3rd through 12th grades. Students read books and come together usually in groups to demonstrate their abilities and to test their knowledge of the books they have read.

Our Battle of the Books club members have been working hard all year to read all the books on their book list. On April 29, these students will compete with each other to "battle out" who is the most knowledgeable about the books they have read.

We have several teams made up of third and fourth graders competing this year.

The "battle" will begin at 6:00 p.m. on April 29 in the SCES Cafe.

We hope that you will join us in supporting these team members for this fun and exciting "battle"!!!
