Welcome to Curriculum Overview

We chart our course with Georgia Performance Standards.

Children learn math through manipulatives and math games using the Houghton Miflin math program.
Reading instruction in primary grades includes a phonics-based literacy program and leveled readers.
In grades 2-5, a 4-block literacy program and leveled readers bolster reading skills.
Students practice writing skills throughout the curriculum as they use 6+1 Writing Traits and Power Writing methods to organize subject matter information.
About 200 students qualify for enrichment classes through the Horizons program.
