Mindy Allen graduated from the University of Central Florida and taught in Florida for two years. After visiting Cumming and loving it, her family decided to move here. This will be her ninth year teaching at Vickery Creek! She has a passion for teaching and absolutely loves teaching reading and social studies. Mrs. Allen loves spending time with her husband, Shaun and three girls, Kayla, Emma, and Alana. We love to camp, run, and bike together!
Michael Dillon is a graduate of Michigan State and this is his 11th year teaching. He’s taught 1st to 5th grade and Special Education. Mr. Dillon has two boys, Jess Riley and Colton. He is a passionate fan of his home town Detroit teams and his Spartans.
Kim Clewell graduated with a bachelor degree from SUNY Brockport and received her master’s degree from SUNY Albany. This is her 4th year teaching at Vickery Creek Elementary. She really enjoys knowing that she can help make a difference at VCE by being in charge of the redemption program for the last nine years. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul and three kids, Courtney, Nathanael and Ethan. They love to hike, camp, and go on bike rides together.
Kim Coley is a UGA grad and has been teaching for 17 years. She lives here in Cumming with her husband, Michael, and two children, Emma and London. The Coley family enjoys traveling and Georgia football. Go Dawgs!
Dianne Eidson is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, and this is her 14th year teaching. She has taught several different grades and finds her passion in working with fifth graders. This is her third year at Vickery Creek, and she is excited about being part of such an amazing school. Mrs. Eidson lives in Cumming with her husband, Dave and her 2 boys, Ethan and Mason. Her family enjoys all sports, especially Atlanta Falcons football.
Angie Ellenburg is a Presbyterian College graduate and has been at VCE for 9 years. She lives in Cumming with her husband, Brad, and three boys, Lucas, Marc and Trey. She enjoys spending time with her family and any activity that involves the outdoors.
Tamara Hales is a graduate from Reinhardt College, and this is her 9th year teaching and 2nd year teaching 5th grade. She previously taught 3rd and 4th grades at VCE. She lives in Ball Ground with her husband, Jerry and baby girl, Annabelle. In her spare time, she loves singing and watching sports, especially Georgia Tech football and Gladiators Hockey.
This is Shannon Knight's tenth year teaching at Vickery Creek and her fifth year in fifth grade. Teaching is a second career for her. After working in the corporate world for several years, she went back to school and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University. She lives in Forsyth County with her husband, Allen, and three sons, Hayden, James, and Jacob. They are originally from Mississippi, but they moved to Georgia several years ago and fell in love with this wonderful community.
Michelle West is a graduate of Georgia State University, Brenau University, and the University of Georgia who has been teaching for 17 years. She has a master's degree in early childhood education, a reading specialist add-on endorsement, and her special education endorsement. She lives in Cumming with her husband and two children who keep them very busy. On the weekends you can find Mrs. West at the ball field watching her son or at a cross country or track event with her daughter.
