Welcome to NFHS school nurse website. My name is Robin Harris. I graduated from Nursing School with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Brenau Hall School of Nursing several years ago. I have been at NFHS almost five years. On a personal note, I am married with five children of my own.
Healthy children are successful learners. School nurses support the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of students and the success in the learning process. Our goal is to assist your students in staying healthy and recovering quickly to increase their time in the classroom; thus increasing their learning time.
If your student has a chronic illness, please fill out the appropriate form and send it to me. If your child needs medication while he or she is at school, whether it be a prescribed medication or an over the counter medication a Request for Administration of Medication must be filled out and returned to me as well. The medication must be in the original bottle and brought in by a parent/guardian. Medications must be picked up by the parent/guardian. Any medication not picked up from the school by the end of the last day of year will be discarded.
If your student needs to check out early due to illness they must visit the school nurse and call home from the clinic for their absence to be excused. If they call from their cell phones and then report to the clinic, this will be unexcused.
For other information,or for forms to turn into the nurse, please click here for the Forsyth County Health Services Page.
Please feel free to call the clinic with any questions or health concerns. Clinic hours are 8:15am-4pm.
