Welcome!! I am the school nurse and I look forward to caring for the health care needs of our student's and staff for the 2012-2013 school year.
It can be a challenge deciding when your student is too sick to attend school. For the protection of all student's and staff, a student should stay home if they have:
*A fever greater than 100.0 F
*Diarrhea or vomiting more than once
*A very frequent cough
*An unexplained widespread rash
Handwashing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of germs!! If water and soap are not available then hand sanitizer is also a great way to kill those germs. Please encourage your student to continue to wash their hands frequently throughout the school day, especially after bathroom use, before eating, and after coughing or sneezing.
All medication must must be brought to the clinic by a parent or guardian and must be in the original container. A "Request for Medication Form" must be completed.
All rising 6th graders must be immunized according to the guidelines set by the state of Georgia. A copy of your student's Georgia 3231 Certificate of Immunization must be on file and up to date before fall schedules will be released. If you have not already provided a copy to the school please do so as soon as possible.
Please call or visit the clinic if you have any questions or concerns about your child's care.
