Buquoi Mrs. Stephanie Buquoi

I believe in a student initiated classroom in which students take learning into their own hands.  My classroom is project- based where students make discoveries based on the concepts introduced in class. My role is to facilitate conversations and the development of projects that lead to the presentation of their knowledge.

Serra Mrs. Laura Serra

It is my desire as a educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. There are three elements that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, (1) the teacher acting as a guide, (2) allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning, and (3) promoting respect for all things and all people.

Sciro Mrs. Ashley Sciro
My belief of education is that each child learns differently; and it is my job to reach each child on his or her level while engaging and challenging all learners.  I believe in inquiry based learning to promote higher level thinking.  I empower my students to work at establishing and reaching their own goals in becoming life-long learners.

Diersen   Mrs. Tambra Diersen

As a teacher, I work to inspire young people to reach for the stars.  I am so excited to be part of the family here at Shiloh Point.  I feel as excited to teach today as I did in 1992, 20 some years ago, when my career began.  I love how a young child's mind thinks, how their hands display the thinking, and how their eyes light up when the thinking has been achieved!!

deturck   Mrs. Bridgett deTurck
I love to see the sparkle and enthusiasm in student's eyes when they figure out how to complete a task or assignment on their own. In my class, the children learn in many ways and can share their learning in collaborative groups. I share stories about my children and grandchildren as ideas for writing topics and problem solving. We read many different types of books to engage learning on many levels in different subjects, and reading and writing occur across the curriculum in our class.

 cutcliffe  Ms. Katherine Cutcliffe
This will be my third year teaching and my first year at Shiloh Point. I am so excited to be a part of the Shiloh Point family. First grade is a year of major growth. This is what truly inspired me to be a teacher because I love watching students grow intellectually and individually throughout the year. I am a believer in the fact that all children learn in various ways. I look forward to getting to know my students as learners and watching them grow this year!
