I look forward to another year in the classroom - it is where I find great joy! Simply put, I love teaching & having the opportunity to be in the company of enthusiastic children each and every day. To expand their minds with new ideas & learning, and to bring children together in a caring class community. I look forward to learning about each of you and having a wonderful year!

I am a graduate of Michigan State University with eighteen years of teaching experience. I have taught many different grade levels, and I am continually amazed at how unique each experience is. All in all, inspiring students to learn and be self directed is my favorite part!

|I'm so excited to be working with your child. Fourth grade is an exciting time to learn and grow. I look forward to helping your child during this important transitional year. I am originally from New Jersey - the daughter of two school teachers. I graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and went on to obtain my CPA. After working in the corporate world for several years, I left to start a family. It was during this time with my children that I discovered my desire to teach. With two parents being teachers, I guess it's always been in my blood! I went back to school to Brenau University to get my teachers certification and feel that I have truly found my calling. I've been at Shiloh Point since it opened in 2006.|

I am so excited to be back at Shiloh Point, and I’m looking forward to a great year in 4th grade! This is a big year for kids: most of them complete their first decade and move into double-digits, they receive percentage grades for the first time, and they are really beginning to discover what they’re passionate about. My goal is to provide an environment in which students can develop those passions, enjoy a strong sense of community, and take ownership of their learning.

This will be my 20th year teaching, all in Forsyth County! I've taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. I started at Big Creek after graduating with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University. I then taught at Settles Bridge before opening Shiloh Point in 2006. My professional career began with 10 years in the television industry after moving south in 1985 from New York City, where I was born and raised.

I am thrilled to be teaching at Shiloh Point Elementary. This will be my first year at Shiloh, but my eighth year teaching in Forsyth County. I attended Eastern Michigan University and received my bachelors’ degree in Elementary Education. In 2011, I received my gifted endorsement. Because I love learning, I studied and obtained my masters’ in Early Childhood Education in 2012 from Mercer University, with a added math endorsement. I believe in creating a classroom community where everybody is accepted, everybody shares, and everybody grows. I look forward to a fantastic year.
