Announcements:

 
Parent Seminars: We are pleased to announce the following parent-only seminars that will be held at SBE this spring.  Guest speakers for these programs include the Forsyth County School Safety Manager and local clinicians / therapists.  Mark your calendar; no RSVP is necessary.  Click here for parent invitation.  Upcoming dates:
  1. Positive Parenting: Tuesday, April 23rd, 3:30 to 4:30 pm
  2. Family Communication: Tuesday, May 7th, 8:00 to 9:00 am
 

We were notified on January 18th that our school counseling program has met the criteria to become a Recognized ASCA Model Program by the American School Counselor Association for the second time. We are one of more than 400 that have received this national recognition since the program’s inception in 2004. 


Save the Date for Breakfast Club: This is a new program that we are offering to SBE parents and students this spring. Breakfast Club is an opportunity for parents and kids to have breakfast together with the counselors and learn about skills that can be practiced at school and at home.  Click here for more information.

As part of our Re-RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) application, the counselors at SBE presented our data from last year to the school board at the September meeting. We addressed the question: “How are students different as a result of what we do?” Our Prezi presentation is available online, by clicking here.
