Target RED card - Take Charge of Education - www.target.com/redcard

Where are the Target Shoppers with RED cards?  Only 13 RED cards are currently assigned to Whitlow Elementary School!  Target donates 1% of your purchases to the school of your choice but you have to assign your RED card to Whitlow.  Current amount accumulated for next Target donation is $233.  Visit www.target.com/redcard to Take Charge of Education to enroll or change your "school of choice" to Whitlow ES.

Georgia Natural Gas
Time is running out to increase our April donation from Georgia Natural Gas.  Take 10 minutes to link your GNG account before 2/28 and your link will add $55 this year to our donation total.  Don't forget to ask family and friends to join.  The more links the larger the donation.  Visit www.trueblueschools.comto learn how you can make a difference.

 Environmental Education Week

This week is National Environmental Education week.  How safe is your Home Environment?  Did you know that most home air quality is more toxic than the air outdoors?  Meanwhile, Asthma and allergies are rising at alarming rates.  National Cancer Association released results of a 15-year study concluding that women who work in the home are at a 54% higher risk of developing cancer than women who work outside the home. Studies now suggest that much of this may be from the toxic cleaners we use to clean our home.  But we need our home to be clean.  Many of you may have tried some "safer" cleaners only to discover that they weren't effective or they were just too expensive.    Shaklee, our newest Partner in Education has a wonderful line of safe, effective cleaners for your home.  Purchasing from Shaklee helps Whitlow as we work towards our goal of adding $2000 to the playground fund by the end of April.
