Hi! My name is Kristen Durant. My family moved to Forsyth County from Maryland 11 years ago and consider ourselves lucky to be part of the Coal Mountain community. I am fortunate to have my three wonderful children, Jake, Mallory, and Ella attending CMES with me as well. In my free time, I enjoy watching my children play their sports and spending time on Lake Lanier. I am excited to be at Coal Mountain for another year of teaching fourth grade and looking forward to a great year!
Hello everyone! My name is Jody Jones. I have a wonderful husband and 3 girls, Lexy Kate, Avery Grace and Aubrey Jay. I received my bachelor’s from Mercer University and I have a Master’s in Integrating Technology in the Classroom. I have been teaching elementary school for many, many years! When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, and boating. I am so fortunate to be a part of Coal Mountain Elementary. I look forward to a fabulous year in 4th grade.
My name is Torri Keller and I am excited to be joining the
Coal Mountain Team this year. I graduated from what is now the University of
North Georgia in 2004 and started teaching at Sugar Hill Elementary School in
Hall County. I taught there for 11 years where I had the chance to teach First,
Second, Third, and Special Education. My husband, Allan, and I have two
wonderful boys. Wesley is 5 years old and starting Kindergarten this year. Liam
just turned one is learning to walk and play. I look forward to a wonderful
getting to know your children and the school.
Hi! I am Melissa Schimmelpfennig and am excited to join the Coal Mountain community! I taught third grade for 9 years at Settles Bridge Elementary, and taught fifth grade prior to that, in Gwinnett County. I was raised in Iowa, and lived in Massachusetts, Ohio, and Colorado before settling in Forsyth County. My husband, Tad, and I have two children. Adison is a freshman at Georgetown University, and Brandt is a sophomore at Lambert High School. I'm looking forward to a great year with my new Fourth Grade Miners!
I am Anna Wildes. I'm an experienced teacher, musician, artist (when I can squeeze those last two in), and life-long student. My husband, son, and I will be making going to school a daily, family event as my son and I will be at Coal Mountain, and my husband will be right down the lane at North Forsyth High School. Thank you for welcoming me to your Coal Mountain family!
