Hello! My name is Emily Beusse and I am very excited to be a Coal Mountain Miner this school year! This will be my first year in education and I don't believe there is a better place to begin. I graduated with my education degree from The University of North Georgia in 2014 and recently completed my Master’s Degree as well.I’ve been in the Dawson/Forsyth area my entire life and I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to start my career here I'm looking forward to what this school year holds for each of my students and myself!
My name is Kayla Collins. I am so excited about teaching 5th grade at Coal Mountain. Outside of school I enjoy running, painting, and spending time with my family. I come from a large family of 5 girls where my twin and I are the youngest. My husband and I recently moved to Dahlonega where he is attending University of North Georgia to become to a physical therapist. I previously taught EIP, 2nd, and 4th grade in Barrow County. I am looking forward to a great year!
My name is Melanie Prince. I am excited about teaching 5th grade this year at Coal Mountain! This is my 14th year teaching in Forsyth County Schools! My husband, Tim, and I have two amazing boys. Jake will be in 5th grade and Braden will be in 1st. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me at the baseball field cheering on one of my boys! I am looking forward to a fabulous year!
|Hi. My name is Deborah Schumacher. This will be my fourth year in the Forsyth County School System and my 19th year teaching. I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade. I am looking forward to teaching 5th gain this year. It is my favorite! My husband Eric and I have two wonderful children. Matthew is a rising senior at MTSU, and Katie is a rising senior at North Forsyth High School. I also have two cute dogs. Sticky is a 13 year old Dalmatian, and Bentley is a 1 year old black Labrador. I am excited to be returning to the Coal Mountain Team and look forward to a wonderful 2016-2017!|
My name is Heather Smyrl. I am so happy to be teaching 5th grade this year at Coal Mountain. I have been a classroom teacher for 15 years, working with children in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. My husband Tim and I live in the Coal Mountain community with our daughter Rachael and our four fur-babies: Miles, Malcolm, Katy, and Felix.
