The Media Center is the center of activity in our school. Students come to the Media Center to listen to stories read to them by the Media Specialist, to conduct research, and to check out books for reading enjoyment. Students will learn to use the Dewey Decimal System to locate books with the help of our On-Line Catalog. Please take a moment to check it out and stop by the Media Center for a visit.

Parents, want to be a Media Center Volunteer? We would love to have you! Our volunteers help children find books, work at the circulation desk, and shelve books. We will show you how. It's the best place in the school to volunteer! You see all of the children, and have fun. So just call 770-887-7749 extension 740530.

Did you know that you and your students can sign up on line for a Forsyth county library card and then be able to access all of their data bases? It’s true! And easy!

Just go to www.forsythpl.org, click on library card icon, and Read “How do I get a library card?”

If you choose the online application, you can start using the databases and the library catalog right away. Students will then have to take a parent or guardian to the library to obtain their library card before they can check out books. Employees of Forsyth County Schools can get a library card free of charge even if you live outside of the county.
