Our First Grade Teachers:
    
The 2012- 2013 school year will be the beginning of a new curriculum. Previously, Georgia had its own set of standards. This year every state is adopting new national standards called Common Core. The Common Core State Standards were designed to improve educational outcomes for all students by creating a set of clear K-12 academic standards in English language arts and mathematics. These standards are relevant to the real world, reflecting the knowledge and skills young people need to be prepared for both college and work in a global economy. To find out more click here.
