I love being a part of the Daves Creek family! I have been teaching for eight years with seven of the years being in third grade. I graduated with my teaching degree and Reading endorsement from Miami Univeristy in Ohio. I received my Masters degree and Math endorsement from GSU and earned my Gifted endorsement from UNG. My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary this summer, June 20th! Reading, working out and running around with our fur babies, Lucy and Jackson, are some of the many activities I enjoy in my free time. I look forward to a great year together in third grade!

I am thrilled to begin the 2016-17 academic year as a Daves Creek Dolphin!  Though new to Forsyth County, I’ve lived and taught in the metro Atlanta area since 1999.  My 18 years as a professional educator encompasses grades K-6 spanning three states including Texas and Louisiana.  Most recently I taught EIP K-5, 1st and 2nd grades in Fulton County and prior to that I taught in Cobb County Schools.  I earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with Middle Grades Certification from Kennesaw State University, my undergraduate teaching credentials from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of South Alabama.   I look forward to an AMAZING year in third grade-Oh, the places we will go in our learning endeavors!

I am honored to join the Daves Creek Family.  I recently relocated to Georgia from sunny South Florida.  I am an alumni of Florida Atlantic University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001. I have 14 years teaching experience with the Palm Beach County School District.  During my time there I earned my National Board Teaching Certification and I also carry an ESOL Endorsement.  I am looking forward to building relationships with my students and fellow teachers for a successful year!!!!
