As the Director of Transportation for Forsyth County Schools I work with over 350 "professional and caring employees” to provide transportation services “that protect students, support quality learning and improve the community."

In School Year 2011-12 we will transport approximately 21,000 students to and from school each day. That means we have an opportunity to have a positive impact on the students of Forsyth County nearly 7.5 million times a year!

We provide thousands of additional student trips as part of our transportation service to learning opportunities outside the classroom.  "Activity trips" also support quality learning by  providing safe, reliable and affordable service to students who belong to academic clubs, extra- curricular organizations and athletic teams.

I’ve been in "student transportation" since 1994; six years with Gwinnett County Public Schools, three years with DeKalb County Schools and entering my ninth school year with Forsyth County Schools.  I feel blessed to work in a System where teachers, students, parents, administrators and support staff focus on student learning and work together to “increase student achievement.”

My undergraduate education focused on secondary education (B.S. degree in Physical Education from Valparaiso University in Indiana ) and I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master in Public Administration.
