Natalie Bennett This is will be my 5th year teaching and all have been in 5th grade! I will be starting my second year here at Silver City and have loved being a Comet! I graduated from North Forsyth and have lived in Forsyth county my entire life. I graduated from Valdosta State University, Go Blazers, and am a huge football and baseball fan! I am so excited to be a Silver City Comet this year! This is my 5th year teaching in Forsyth County Schools, but my 17th year teaching overall. I just finished my 8th year of 5th grade, and I have also taught in 3rd and 1st grades, so I am sure I will love 4th! I am married and have 3 children: a daughter in 10th grade at Central, a son in 8th grade at Otwell, and a son in 5th grade at Silver City. We lovet to spend our free time out on the lake or traveling to the beach. I am looking forward to a fabulous year in fourth grade!

I am starting my 12th year at Silver City and think it is a wonderful place to be! I have a husband who is a firefighter and two wonderful sons ages 9 and 3. 350411 SGrizzle@forsyth.k12.ga.us Katie Kingry For ten years, I have been living my dream come true, and I am so excited to begin my eleventh year of teaching as a Silver City Comet! After graduating from North Forsyth High School, I enrolled in the University of North Georgia where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I later earned a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, completed a Gifted Endorsement, and obtained a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I’m looking forward to a great year! 350416 Melanie Long It has been my honor to be a member of the Silver City family since 2015. Prior to moving to Georgia, I lived in North Carolina where I taught math and science for 14 years before becoming a math and science coach for an additional 3 years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Administration from UNC-Pembroke. I am currently pursuing my Georgia math endorsement. I am blessed with 5 amazing children, Mallory, Haylie, Joshua, Samantha, and Dylan. Additionally, I have 3 wonderful children as my children’s spouses, Wesley is married to Mallory, Morgan is married to Joshua, and Garret is married to Samantha. Last, but certainly not least, I have 4 adorable grandchildren, Easton, Evie, Killian, and Bella. I will also welcome a 5th grandchild in August, a baby boy who will be named Ryan. 350382 Ashley McKenna I am so excited to begin my 16th year teaching and 6th year at Silver City. I have taught grades 3-5 and have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Wesleyan College along with a Master of Science Degree from Walden University. My children, Patrick and Abigail, are with me at SCE; we love being Comets! When I am not teaching, I enjoy singing in church choir, reading, cheering on the GA Tech Yellow Jackets, and spending time with my family. I am a product of Forsyth County Schools and consider myself blessed to be teaching in the same community I grew up in. My husband, Nathan, and I are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Blakely (5) and Brooke (3 mo).
