The gifted program at VCE recognizes the diverse needs of gifted learners through multi-disciplinary thematic units and activities. Students apply high level thinking skills and make informed decisions, understand and apply concepts, make reasonable judgments, and implement strategies for solving problems.
This differentiated curriculum accounts for the diverse learning styles of students while concentrating on critical thinking, risk-taking, curiosity, and interpersonal relationships. Creating a supportive environment permits students to develop a sense of self-worth, a desire for excellence, and an individual commitment to the school, the community, and the ever-changing society.
