Welcome to First Grade! It is going to be a fantastic year! I have received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education with a Reading Endorsement and my Master's Degree in Elementary Education, along with my ESOL endorsement. This will be my 8th year teaching at Haw Creek. My husband and I live in North Forsyth County with our sweet dog Lola. I love the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves! I am looking forward to a fabulous, fun-filled year in 1st grade!

You are going to love first grade! I have been at Haw Creek since it opened, and I love it here! I grew up in Colorado and went to the University of Northern Colorado for my Bachelors in Elementary Education degree and the University of Colorado for my Masters in Elementary Education. I have taught grades 1-5 during my 20+ years of teaching. I have three grown daughters and two grandchildren as well as my cat, Savannah.

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Hoxie!  I graduated from UGA in December 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I'm also finishing my Master's degree in Elementary Education this summer through the Double Dawg program at UGA.  This is going to be my first year teaching and I can't wait!  I am a graduate of Forsyth County Schools myself and I'm happy to be back.  My mom is also a teacher in the county and my little sister is studying Elementary Education at GCSU!  I recently got engaged and will be marrying my fiance, Clayton, next June!  In my free time, I love spending time with my friends and family, playing tennis, and going to coffee shops!  I am so excited to teach 1st grade and be a Haw Creek Husky!

Welcome to First Grade! I am so excited that you will be in my class this year! This will be my 36th year of teaching. I am a 1988 graduate of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education and Political Science. I earned my Masters of Education degree at National-Louis University. I am married and we live in Dawsonville on Lake Lanier with our sweet Chihuahua, Millie. I have two wonderful daughters. Cecelia is a first grade teacher at Pooles Mill Elementary and Katherine works for NCR in Atlanta as a financial analyst. Get ready for a fun year in first grade!

This is my 3rd year teaching 1st grade at Haw Creek, and my 5th year teaching (previously taught kindergarten in NC). I graduated from Campbell University with my bachelors and masters in Elementary Education and also have my gifted endorsement. I have been married to my husband for 16 years and we have four children (8th grader, 6th grader, 3rd grader, and a 2nd grader) who all go to Haw Creek and Lakeside. I am looking forward to another great year in First Grade!
