Hello! My name is Danielle Alcala. I have worked in Forsyth County Schools since 2013 and previously educated children in different roles since 2006. I have spent most of that time in the field of special education. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education from the University of North Georgia and a master's in early childhood education from Piedmont College with an Autism Endorsement. I value building relationships with students and their families and look forward to another year at Haw Creek! My husband and I have three sons. We enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking.

I am excited to begin my 24th year of teaching here in Forsyth County! I graduated from Georgia Southern University and later attended Mercer University. My career began as a 3rd grade teacher. Later, I moved into special education and have served students in kindergarten through fifth. When I am not at school, I enjoy working in my yard, watching HGTV, doing craft project, and most of all spending time with my two daughters and my son-in-law. Looking forward to another great year here at Haw Creek!

This is my 20th year teaching special education and the start of my 11th year at Haw Creek. I received my degree in special education from Florida International University. My husband and I moved here from Miami, Florida 11 years ago. We have an active 8 year old who keeps us busy. I truly love being a mommy! Aside from being passionate about teaching/motherhood I also enjoy cooking, running, and all things related to dogs. I am a self proclaimed foodie, so I love trying new foods and learning to cook new dishes!

My name is Chelsea Burroughs, and I am so excited to begin my third year at Haw Creek Elementary. I graduated from the University of North Georgia. I began my teaching career in DeKalb County and taught there for ten years. I taught all grades as well as Specialized Instruction and ESOL.

I have two dogs, Finley and Toby, who are spoiled rotten. I also enjoy spending time with my family.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, walking my dogs, kayaking, and watching UGA!! Go Dawgs!!

My name is Jordan English and I am so excited for another great year here at Haw Creek! I grew up in Forsyth County School and I am blessed to be able to give back to my home community. Forsyth County Schools helped me become the person I am today, and I love being able to support my students in the same way. 

My Husband and I have 2 dogs, Bryant (ROLL TIDE) and Winnie. You will see Winnie at Haw Creek as she is a member of our Husky Pack Therapy Dog program. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband, traveling to the beach + Disney World, and Alabama Football...ROLL TIDE!!

After teaching 30 years of High School in Miami Dade Co. my family moved here to Forsyth Co. This will be my 6th year here at Haw Creek teaching E.B.I. It is a wonderful school, and I am happy to be here!

I am a graduate of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. I taught in Pennsylvania for 5 years prior to moving to Georgia. I have been teaching and in the field of education for 20 years here in Georgia. I have a daughter who is 14 and attends Forsyth Central High School and an 8 year old son that is here at Haw Creek. Every summer I am able to visit my family and friends back “home” and relax at the Jersey Shore. I am so glad that I am part of the Haw Creek family. I am looking forward to another wonderful year!

I am excited to start my 17th year teaching and my 11th year teaching at Haw Creek Elementary! I attended Syracuse University and received a BS in inclusive education and a masters in Moderate to Severe Disabilities and then UMASS-Amherst to receive an EdS in Research and Leadership in Special Education. I live here in Cumming with my husband and have 4 young adults that are living across the United States and abroad. I love ice hockey and watching performance dance! I am looking forward to a fabulous year teaching and learning in K-3 Specialized Instruction!

I am so excited for the 2024-2025 school year! This is my 16th year in teaching. My husband, Max is a teacher at North Forsyth High School. We have a daughter, Lilly and our lab mix Bailey. I graduated with a degree in Adapted Curriculum from the University of Georgia. I have my masters in Intellectual Disabilities from Graceland University. I am a love of all sports, but soccer is my favorite.
