Leslie Butler will begin another year in Kindergarten here at Chestatee. This will be her 18th year as a teacher and her 13th year at Chestatee Elementary. Upon arriving at Chestatee in 2007, Mrs. Butler taught First Grade and Kindergarten as well as teaching through the Academic Support Team. She holds a B.S. from Southern Polytechnic State University and earned her M. Ed from North Georgia College and State University. Building the love of learning is Mrs. Butler's favorite part of working with Kindergarten students.
Mrs. Kelley Crandall’s is a graduate of The University of West Florida with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. This will be her 20th year teaching, and has been here at Chestatee for 10 years. She is the proud mother of a seventh grader at Little Mill. Although she has taught kindergarten through eighth grade, kindergarten is her favorite. Helping both parents and her students adjust to the new expectations of elementary school is one of the pieces of teaching kindergarten she treasure. Mrs. Crandall believes that communication and building connections is key to a successful year and can’t wait to meet her new class and their families.
Leah Duval is so excited to be starting her 2nd year at Chestatee on the Kindergarten team. She has worked in the Private Pre-Kindergarten setting, and 3rd Grade in public education. She and her husband, Rick, have two girls (one who will attend 2nd grade at Chestatee, and the other who will be in 8th grade at NFMS). They love spending time outdoors. Her gifts to teaching are a big heart and having a strong enthusiasm for creating life long learners. She can’t wait for next year!
Mrs. Jenkins is very excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Chestatee Elementary this year! She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Elementary Literacy from Western Carolina University. This year will be her eighth year of teaching. She loves making learning fun and engaging, while ensuring that she meets the needs of all her students. She loves teaching Kindergarten and instilling a love for learning at a young age. She is glad to be a part of the Chestatee family!
This will be Beth Shelton's 19th year of teaching. She has been at Chestatee 12 years. Mrs. Shelton received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Auburn University. She has taught both general education and special education. Mrs. Shelton is very excited to be working with the students of Chestatee.
This will be Alicia's 18th year of teaching and 9th year teaching at Chestatee. Mrs. Tilden received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia Southern and her Master's degree from Mercer University. She has had the wonderful opportunity to teach fifth grade, third grade, second grade and kindergarten. She is very excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year for the 8th year in a row. She loves being a part of the family at Chestatee!
This will be Mrs. Wade's 18th year at Chestatee Elementary and her 27th year as an educator. Mrs. Wade attended Auburn University and North Georgia College and State University and earned a B.S. Degree in Special Education and a M.A.ED. in Early Childhood Education. She has thoroughly enjoyed teaching kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades! Mrs. Wade is extremely excited to teach kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year!
Ms. Wilkinson is beyond thrilled to be teaching at Chestatee Elementary this year. This will be her sixth year teaching kindergarten and she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! Ms. Wilkinson graduated from Neumann University with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She is super excited to meet her new group of kiddos and their families. Every day will be full of excitement, learning, and challenges. She will do whatever is needed to make your children feel safe and happy at school. She is looking forward to an amazing year!
