Christy Burns 

Christy Burns will be beginning her first year at Chestatee and her 30th year teaching in the fall of 2024! She received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Florida International University and has taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Mrs. Burns has also been a special education IRR teacher in 3rd grade and 5th grade, and she served as a Title I support teacher teaching math to 4th and 5th graders. Christy and her husband are already a part of the Chestatee and the One East community as they have a son and a daughter who both attend East Forsyth High School. She is looking forward to joining the amazing Kindergarten team at Chestatee for the 2024-2025 school year and is super excited to be working with students and their families to help them be successful in school and become life-long lovers of learning!!

 Julie Davis

This is Julie Davis' third year teaching at Chestatee. Previous to coming to the T, she taught Kindergarten at Midway Elementary School for 4 years, GA Pre-K for 2 years and Private 2nd Grade for a year. Mrs. Davis graduated from North Georgia College and State University (now known as University of North Georgia) with a dual major bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Special Education with a reading endorsement. She is currently pursuing a masters in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Davis lives in Forsyth County with her husband, three boys, and their dog. She is very excited to continue being a part of the Chestatee family and can't wait to meet her new group of students for the 24-25 school year.

Leah Duval

Leah Duval is so excited about starting her 6th year at Chestatee on the Kindergarten team. She has previously worked in a private Pre-Kindergarten setting, and 3rd Grade in Fulton County. Leah has earned her ESOL endorsement and is Mindfullness trained in Forsyth County. She and her husband, Rick, have two girls (one who will attend 6th grade at North Middle School, and the other who will be a senior at Lambert High School). They love spending time outdoors. Her gifts to teaching are a big heart and having a strong enthusiasm for creating lifelong learners. She cannot wait for next year!

Amy Beth Garrett 

Amy Beth Garrett has spent her teaching career at Chestatee Elementary. She has a BS of Consumer and Family Sciences from UGA, a Teaching Certificate from West Ga. College, Masters from University of North Georgia, and Specialist degree from Lesley University. She also has her Gifted Certification. She loves teaching in the caring environment of Chestatee. She loves watching her students grow and learn in kindergarten.

Carly Rogers

This will be Carly Rogers' third year at Chestatee Elementary and her tenth year as an educator. She is so excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year. She has previously taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. She received her teaching degree and ESOL endorsement from Toccoa Falls College. She loves being able to create a caring environment where learning is fun. She is looking forward to meeting all her students at open house!

Meredith Ross-Sellers

This will be Meredith Sellers10th year teaching and third year at Chestatee. Mrs.Sellers received her Bachelor's degree from Ga Southern University, her Master's degree from Kennesaw State University, and her Specialist degree from Piedmont University. She has taught grades K-3, including 2nd grade ESOL. She is very excited to continue to serve our families this year as a Kindergarten teacher!

Alicia Tilden

This will be Alicia TIlden's 11th year teaching at Chestatee. Mrs. Tilden received her Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and her Master's degree from Mercer University. She has had the wonderful opportunity to teach 5th, 3rd, 2nd and kindergarten. She is very excited to be teaching kindergarten for her 13th year in a row. She loves being a part of the family at Chestatee.
