This will be Cierra Cappon's fifth year at Chestatee Elementary. Ms. Cappon received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of North Georgia and her Master's degree in Elementary Education from Piedmont University. Ms. Cappon has had the pleasure of teaching special education for 4th grade and kindergarten along with 4th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies. This will be her second year teaching 2nd Grade. Ms. Cappon is a graduate of Forsyth County Schools and loves being able to give back to the community. Ms. Cappon loves being a part of the Chestatee family!
This will be Sierra Chapman’s 2nd year teaching at Chestatee. Ms. Chapman graduated from the University of North Georgia and earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She has loved getting to know her students and parents and can’t wait for another awesome year!
Sarah Chewning has been teaching at Chestatee for fifteen years and she has a total of 21 years in education. She is currently teaching second grade. She has taught in Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third grades. She graduated from Forsyth County High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Georgia State University. She then obtained a teaching certificate and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Brenau University. Later, she received a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She loves teaching second grade at the "T".
This will be Mrs. Hall's 17th year teaching. It is her 9th year teaching at Chestatee. Mrs. Hall received her bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University. Go Mountaineers! She has also earned her gifted endorsement. She previously taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Mrs. Hall is very excited to teach 2nd grade again this school year! She loves teaching and being part of the Chestatee family!
Bonnie Lee is excited to return to Second grade for the 2023-2024 school year. Mrs. Lee has taught Kindergarten and First Grade at Chestatee. She received her bachelor's degree from University of South Alabama and her masters' degree from Grand Canyon University. Her two children attended Chestatee and are graduates of Forsyth County schools. Mrs. Lee lives on Lake Lanier with her husband (who she met in Second grade) and loves to boat, paddle board, and play on the lake. She is looking forward to a fabulous school year!

Mrs. Loftus is entering her twelfth year of her teaching career and her ninth year at the "T". This will be her sixth year teaching second grade, prior to that she taught third grade and kindergarten. She attended Piedmont College, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Since graduating from Piedmont, Mrs. Loftus has obtained her math endorsement. Mrs. Loftus is excited for the 2023-2024 school year!
This will be Mrs. Mullinax's 12th year at Chestatee and her 16th year teaching. Mrs. Mullinax graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education, specializing in K-2 and a Math endorsement. She has taught 2nd grade for her whole career. She loves building relationships with her students. She is very excited to continue as a 2nd grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year!
This will be Carly Rogers' second year at Chestatee Elementary and her ninth year as an educator. She is so excited to be teaching second grade this year. She has previously taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. She received her teaching degree and ESOL endorsement from Toccoa Falls College. She loves being able to create a caring environment where learning is fun. She is looking forward to meeting all her students at open house!
Lynne Tatum is in her 12th year at Chestatee Elementary. This year begins her 21st year in education. She has taught first and second grades. She received her Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education from LaGrange College and her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University. Mrs. Tatum has her Gifted Endorsement. She loves teaching and making learning fun and exciting! She is excited for a great 2023-2024 school year!
