Excellence is a 60 year tradition at Midway. Established in the early sixties as a community school in a sleepy farming area between Alpharetta and Cumming; today Midway thrives as a school with a diverse and talented population of learners that welcomes all families to a fast growing suburb of a southern metropolis. 

Much of the reason for Midway’s success comes from our philosophy that ALL students can be strong in Mind, Body, and Spirit.  This “One Midway” creed influences all of the work we do and is evident in our efforts to include all of our families in the life of this great school.  

Our work and commitment has been rewarded many times over.  We have been named a Georgia School of Excellence, have received a number of Title I and State of Georgia awards for academic achievement and gains, and were recognized as a Family Friendly school by the Georgia State Superintendent of Schools.
