Brookwood Elementary School
After-School Program
2024-2025
General Information
The Bobcat Academy After-School Program (formerly known as ASP) is designed to provide a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable environment for students after dismissal each school day. The program is open to all Brookwood Elementary School students, Grades K-5. Activities include recreational sports, movies, free play, and snacks.
The Bobcat Academy is in operation from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m. on days school is open. Students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m.
A late fee of $2.00 per minute for every minute past 6:00 p.m. will be charged and payment made through SchoolPay. If late pick-up becomes a continuous problem, the child may be dismissed from the program.
The program will not operate on school holidays or inclement weather days. In the event of early school dismissal due to inclement weather or other emergencies, the program will not be open.
The Bobcat Academy is available on early release days at no extra charge.
Students must be present for the school day to attend the after-school program.

Transportation Notification
A Bobcat Note from Home must be submitted when starting the program, indicating which weekdays your student will regularly attend the program. Students will be released to the after-school program on those days unless an online Transportation Change form (BES website under Quick Links) is submitted (i.e. change to car rider, bus, after school activity, etc. for 1 day).
Clothing
Please dress children appropriately, including tennis shoes to play on playground equipment. Students will have time outside each day unless extreme weather conditions exist.
Student Pick Up
Please park in a designated parking space in the parking lot, as the fire lane in front of the school cannot be used for parking/picking up students.
Students will only be released to authorized adults as noted in the Parent Portal, and picture identification will be verified. The Director must be notified, in writing, of any changes or unusual restrictions. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to provide transportation, and students are not permitted to walk or ride bicycles home.
Behavior Guidelines
We strive to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to the safety and wellbeing of all children. Our expectation for appropriate student behavior will follow the same code of conduct as Brookwood Elementary and Forsyth County Schools. The following consequences will be enforced if continuous behavior issues arise.
- 1st – Warning and discussion with parent (if offense is serious the student may be suspended without warning)
- 2nd – Time out in the office or suspension for one (1) day.
- 3rd – Expelled from the program
