Forsyth County Schools’ special education programs are founded upon the belief that all children are capable of learning and being successful in school experiences which are designed to develop academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and independence skills for active participation in their community.
At Little Mill Middle School, we STRIVE to provide flexible programming that meets the needs of the individual student. Students ACHIEVE through supports provided in a variety of settings which include targeted small groups and inclusion within the general education classroom. We have a staff dedicated to promoting a culture of acceptance where DREAMS become reality.
High School Transition Information
8th grade special education teachers work directly with students, parents, and representatives of North Forsyth High School, Forsyth Central High School, and the Alliance Academy for Innovation in order to plan for appropriate supports well before the beginning of the student's 9th grade school year. Meetings are typically scheduled in March or April.
Forsyth County Schools provides many informational training sessions for parents of students with disabilities throughout the school year.
Session dates and topics will be posted as soon as available.
