Jennifer (Blankenship) Gann
Jennifer Gann will be teaching 4th grade this year. She has been working for Forsyth County Schools since 2008 and has been serving in education since 2005. Jennifer has worked with students in many different capacities during her time in education. She is looking forward to continuing to work with the students and families as a classroom teacher. This will be her fourth year teaching fourth grade.
Outside of school, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two sons who are the apples of her eye and her dog Misty. In her free time, she is a musician in a local community band and a martial artist. She is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Brandywine experience. Go Badgers!

I am originally from Glens Falls, NY but moved down to Alpharetta, GA when I was young. I grew up in Forsyth County and I am so happy to be back as a teacher. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with my bachelor degree in Early Childhood and Special Education as well as my Reading Endorsement. I will begin my 15th year of teaching at Brandywine Elementary! I graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a dual-degree in Early Childhood and Special Education in 2005. Before joining Forsyth County, I taught kindergarten and first grade in Fulton County. I also taught first grade at Midway Elementary for three years prior to moving up to teach the “big kids.” My husband, Andy, and I have three beautiful daughters who keep me busy outside of school! I look forward to another fantastic year at Brandywine with your children!

I was lucky enough to grow up in beautiful San Diego, California. After high school I moved to Gainesville, Florida for college. Go Gators!!! I met my husband, Brian in the saxophone section of the marching band and we have been married for 13 years. I graduated with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in math, science, and technology. After college we settled in Wesley Chapel, Florida where I taught third, fourth, and fifth grade for six years. I had the pleasure of teaching fifth grade for a few years with Kimberly Benton.
My family moved to the Atlanta area in 2011 when my husband was transferred to AT&T. My family currently lives in Alpharetta with our three adorable daughters. Abigail is eight years old and is in second grade, Emily is six years old and is in first grade, and Julianna is three. My girls are my world and my class will hear me talk about them quite a bit. In my free time I love to read, travel, shop, and spend time with my family.

Ruth Beichner is a fourth grade teacher at Brandywine Elementary School. Ruth is originally from Oil City, a small town in northwest Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Clarion University in Pennsylvania with an undergraduate degree in elementary education. She holds a master’s degree in reading and doctorate’s degree in leadership both from Walden University. She has taught for the past 20 years in Georgia in preschool, grades 2, 5 and now fourth. Prior to teaching she lived and worked in New York City.
Ruth is married and has 2 children -Meg and Joe. She loves teaching.

I grew up in South Alabama and attended Troy State University. After graduating from college, I moved to Florida to marry my college sweetheart. We have been married for 29 years and have a wonderful daughter. Taylor is a Junior at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I love spending time with my family enjoying the great outdoors hiking and kayaking.
I've had the privilege of working with children in 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade as well as serving as an assistant principal. This will be my first year at Brandywine and my 30th year as an educator. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Gifted Endorsement.
This year is sure to be an amazing adventure in 4th grade!
Nicole Brown I grew up in upstate New York and have lived in the Alpharetta/Cumming area since 1998. I received my Bachelors Degree from Ithaca College and my Masters Degree from Syracuse University. I taught 1st and 2nd grade for 10 years in Forsyth County and I'm excited to be back in the classroom after taking time off to raise my kids. My husband and I have a daughter named Julia who will be in 5th grade and a son named Andrew who will be in 2nd grade. We love spending time together as a family playing games, going on bike rides, traveling, and just about anything as long as we're together. Coral Staton Ms. Staton is a west coast native. She was born in Hawai’i and also lived in Oregon and California. She graduated with her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Oregon State University. She has been teaching since 1997. Her career started in Santa Cruz, California, before moving to Georgia. She has taught for ten years in Forsyth County. Her teaching experience is in grades 3-5, although you may have seen her as a Brandywine Kindergarten Parapro last year.
Coral lives with her husband, two children (who attend Brandywine), and two dogs. She loves to be outdoors camping or enjoying some adventure. She has a passion for traveling. She also enjoys reading and staying active.
