Hello, my name is Laken Dennis, and I'll be one of the 1st grade teachers at New Hope!

I graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in ESOL. I was most recently a 2nd grade teacher at Carver Primary School in Opelika, Alabama.

I’m originally from Montgomery, Alabama and moved to Auburn for college and have been there until now. I’ll be moving to Georgia this summer with my dog, Josie! I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, read and take Josie on walks.

I can’t wait to start teaching in Georgia at a brand new school and meet all the students and staff! Let's go, Nighthawks!

Hi, there! My name is Ali Godwin, and I am so excited to be a New Hope Nighthawk!

I graduated from the University of Georgia with both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Early Childhood Education, as well as my Reading Specialty endorsement. I most recently taught first grade at Daves Creek.

I'm originally from Forsyth County and even attended Settles Bridge and Sharon Elementary. I am super close to my family, especially my sisters who are both currently in college at Mercer and Auburn. During Covid quarantine, I rescued my sweet yellow Lab/English Shepherd mix puppy, Millie Hope. I love to read and exercise, spend time with my family and friends and cheer on my Dawgs!

I am so excited to meet all my new first grade friends and their families as we work together to create a strong community at New Hope!

Hi, Nighthawks! I am so excited for a new adventure in first grade after 9 years teaching second grade! I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!), as well as my ESOL endorsement.  I also earned my master's in Elementary Education from Piedmont University.

I am a Georgia native and currently live in Roswell with my husband, Patrick, and our two sweet dogs, Mack and Ruby. Outside of school, I love to read (preferably on the beach!), cook, and play trivia with friends. We also love watching Georgia football and the Atlanta Braves!

I am so honored to share in the excitement of opening a new school. I can't wait to help build a wonderful foundation of learning and positive relationships this year!

Hello, there! My name is Madison Molina, and I'm thrilled to join New Hope!

I earned a bachelor's of science in Elementary Education with a Reading endorsement from Kennesaw State University. Last year, I was a kindergarten teacher at Whitlow Elementary.

I am originally from Henry County but have worked in Cumming for the last three years. I have a puppy named Hazel who loves to go on car rides! I enjoy reading, finding new places to have brunch, and spending time with my family and friends.

I am most looking forward to building relationships with my students and their families. I cannot wait to meet my future Nighthawks!

Hi, there! I'm Morgan O'Leary, and I'm so excited to be a part of welcoming home our families to New Hope!

I am originally from Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!) and graduated from Wake Forest University. I earned my master's in Elementary Education from Piedmont College. I've most recently taught first grade at Big Creek Elementary.

I live in Brookhaven but enjoy visiting my parents at their home in Jupiter, FL and my brother in Dallas, TX. I love to spend time at the beach or lake with friends and family any chance I get! I love to explore new restaurants, read and bake.

Hello, Nighthawks! My name is Ryan Schamberger, and I'm so excited to be joining the 1st grade team at New Hope!

I earned my dual bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a Reading endorsement from the University of North Georgia. Last year, I was an IRR teacher at Shiloh Point Elementary working with 3rd and 4th grade students.

I grew up in Cherokee County and still live there today with my mother, two brothers, my cat and adorable Schnoodle pup. I enjoy outdoor activities, as well as spending time with my friends and family.

I am looking forward to starting my journey as a 1st grade teacher and building a positive community with our New Hope staff, students and families!

Hi, there! I'm Laura Williams, and I'll be on the first grade team at New Hope.

I have a bachelor's and master's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from Charleston Southern University. I am also National Board certified. Last year, I taught first grade at Settles Bridge Elementary.

I'm originally from Charleston, SC, but my family has been in Cumming for 6 years. We love going back to the coast to visit! My husband (Hobie) and I have two children, Cain (8) who will be in 3rd grade at New Hope and Russell (4), along with a 1-yr old black lab (Cooper). I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, playing board games and cheering for the Clemson Tigers!
