Lauren Farnell

Hi, I'm Lauren Farnell, and I'll be teaching 5th grade at New Hope this year!

I have a bachelor's of Science in Education in Elementary/Special Education from Mercer. I also earned my master's of Education in Early Childhood from the University of West Georgia.

I recently relocated to Cumming from Villa Rica. I lived in Paulding County for 25 years. I taught at Panter Elementary for 11 years, teaching 5th, 3rd and 4th grades. I am a dog mom to my 6 year old yellow Labrador Retriever, Chloe. I enjoy spoiling and spending time with my 4 nieces and nephew. I also love camping, shopping and reading!

I am excited to be a Nighthawk! I look forward to meeting the staff, welcoming students and learning together. I can't wait to be a part of the first 5th grade class at New Hope Elementary.

Nicole Franklin

Hello, my name is Nicole Franklin, and I'll be teaching 5th grade at New Hope!

I have my bachelor's of science degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida. I also have my master's in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University. Last year, I taught 5th grade ELA and Social Studies at Vickery Creek Elementary School.

I am originally from Pittsburgh but moved to West Palm Beach, Florida when I was 13. I have two boys, Lucas (10) and Cameron (9) and will be in 4th grade at New Hope!) They keep me busy with their sports, and we love being outdoors and traveling. I also love cheering on the Steelers, the Braves and the Falcons, as well as going to concerts, baking & decorating cookies, and photography.

I'm looking forward to welcoming all the students, families and staff that will fill the classrooms and hallways at New Hope!

Ashley Kauffman

Hello, Nighthawks! I'm Ashley Kauffman, and I'm a 5th grade teacher at New Hope!

I have my bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of North Georgia, as well as my master's in Health and Physical Education and my Gifted endorsement. I also have my master's in Clinical Nursing Leadership from Augusta University. Most recently I have been a Registered Nurse, prior to nursing I was a teacher in Forsyth County for 9 years and spent 4 of those years in 5th grade.

I am originally from Forsyth County and attended school at Sawnee Elementary, Otwell, and Forsyth Central. I have been married to my husband Dan for 15 years and we have a 12- year-old son named Kendall. We also have a long-haired dachshund named Bowen. I love spending time with my family on the lake, enjoying time with friends, and going on road trips.

I am enjoying getting to know my students and their families at New Hope!

Lauren Lilly

Hi, there! My name is Lauren Lilly, and I will be joining the 5th grade team at New Hope.

I went to Vanderbilt University and graduated with Child Development and Early Education degrees. I am also certified in Special Education. I most recently taught 5th grade at Shiloh Point Elementary.

I grew up in Buckhead, GA where I met my husband in middle school! We have two kids who are 7 and 4. We also have two German Shepherds, Ruger & Kimber. We love spending time together as a family camping in our new RV.

I'm excited to create a fun and positive learning and working environment for students and staff at New Hope. I can't wait to build lasting relationships!

Monica Poole

Hi, there! My name is Monica Poole, and I'll be teaching 5th grade at New Hope!

I studied at Georgia College & State University and earned my bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education along with a Reading endorsement. Most recently, I taught 5th grade in Fulton County at Manning Oaks Elementary School.

I'm originally from Florida and moved to Alpharetta before I began high school. I currently live in Dunwoody with my husband and golden retriever, Daisy! We are building a home in Cumming and can't wait for it to be ready! I love exploring new places - whether it's a new coffee shop or restaurant, a new city, or even just a new place to walk my dog. I also love listening to live music, cheering on the Braves at Truist Park, and kayaking on the Chestatee River.

I am so looking forward to meeting all the new future Nighthawks and creating lasting traditions!

Dana Pratt

Hi, there! My name is Dana Pratt, and I am excited to join Nighthawk Nation!

I graduated with a bachelor's of science in Early Childhood/Special Education from Gordon State College. I also earned a Gifted endorsement. I most recently taught 5th grade ELA and social studies at Vickery Creek Elementary.

I am from Pike County, GA where I grew up playing soccer from a very young age. I went on to play in high school and college. I still play as a goalkeeper/defender for the Georgia Amateur Women's Soccer Association. I am married to my college sweetheart, and we have a daughter named Avonlea. We also have a dog, Utley-Kate, and a cat named Thomas. I love to travel (especially to the beach!), shop, sing and spend time with my family.

I look forward to leading, growing, and building relationships and a strong community at New Hope. Together, we will soar and excel to great heights!
