Sarah Kirkely- PE

Hello, Nighthawks! My name is Sarah Kirkley, and I'm excited to be the PE teacher at New Hope.

I grew up in McDonough, GA, and both of my parents were educators. I always knew this is what I wanted to do. After high school, I ran Cross Country and Track and Field for the University of West Georgia. I finished my college career at the University of North Georgia where I earned a degree in Middle Grades Education. I am certified in 4-8th grade science, gifted, PE and Health. Last year, I taught 7th grade science at Vickery Creek Middle School.

I live in north Forsyth with my husband, and we have two daughters who are 4 and 1. I love playing sports and coaching my nephew's, niece's and daughter's sports teams.

I can't wait to meet all our students and teach them life long healthy habits. I love coaching and am thrilled that I will soon spend my school day doing this. Switching from middle to elementary school will be a great change, and I am looking forward to many years at New Hope!
