Hailey Arnold

Hello, my name is Hailey Arnold, and I will be teaching K-2 special education.

I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a bachelor's of Science in Elementary and Special Education. I also have earned a Reading endorsement. I recently completed my student teaching in Forsyth County at Matt Elementary School. I'm excited to go from a UNG Nighthawk to a New Hope Nighthawk!

I am originally from Cumming and graduated from North Forsyth High. I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with my friends and family.

I feel so lucky to start my new career as part of opening a new school. I am looking forward to meeting my students and fellow staff and building strong relationships with each of them!

Taylor Gravitt

Hello, my name is Taylor Gravitt. I'll be teaching a Specialized Instruction class this year.

I'm a first year teacher coming from the University of North Georgia. This past spring, I completed my practicum at Martin Elementary School.

I was born and raised in Flowery Branch. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 3 years, and we have a spoiled 5-year-old dachshund named Daisy. I love going kayaking, walking, and hiking with my family and binge watching TV shows. I also love to read!

I cannot wait to grow, thrive, and build a strong community here at New Hope, and it's only the beginning!

Alexandra Tweddle

Hi, Nighthawks! I'm Alexandra Tweddle, and I'll be teaching Specialized Instruction.

I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from the University of South Carolina. I completed my student teaching in a 1st/2nd grade Montessori classroom at Sandhills Primary Elementary school in Swansea, SC. I was most recently a Special Education teacher in a K/1 Special Education classroom at Roxbury Elementary School in Stamford, CT.

I am originally from Suwanee, GA and graduated from North Gwinnett High school. I lived in New Canaan, Connecticut for a year after I graduated from UofSC and just moved back to Georgia this July. I am so happy to be back with my family and friends in my home state! I love going to the lake, the beach, Braves games, Atlanta United games, Disney World, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy taking my dog for long walks outside, pilates, and cooking!

I am looking forward to meeting all the staff and students at New Hope and working in the beautiful new school building. I am grateful to be a part of the Nighthawk family and can't wait to get started! It’s going to be a great year!

Tanima Agarwal

Hello, Nighthawks! I'm Tanima Agarwal, and I'll be one of the Instructional Assistants at New Hope!

I have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce. I have more than 8 years of experience working with children of various ages. Most recently, I have been working as an instructional assistant at Sweetwater Middle School in Gwinnett County.

I'm originally from India, but have lived in the U.S. for the last 16 years. My husband works as an IT professional, and I have a 15-year-old son. I love cooking, gardening, listening to music and spending time with my beautiful family.

I am most looking forward to meeting students and parents, as well as faculty members and building relationships with each of you.

Mita Basu

Hello, I am Mita Basu! I'll be an Instructional Assistant in Kindergarten at New Hope.

I have a bachelor's of English degree from Calcutta University. I also have a Master Cosmetology license from the Georgia Board of Licensing. Last year, I was an Instructional Assistant at Haw Creek Elementary.

I am originally from India and came to the United States 35 years ago. I am happily married to my husband who is an IT consultant and UNCC alumni. Our oldest daughter is an ER physician, our middle daughter is a dentist and our youngest daughter is a financial analyst. They all live here in Georgia! I love painting, singing and gardening. I've also been told that I'm a good cook!

It's exciting for me to start this journey of opening New Hope. I can't wait to meet our new staff, new students and new families to build up positive relationships among one another. It is such a unique opportunity and experience!

Angela Flores

Hi, Nighthawks! I'm Angela Flores, and I'll be an Instructional Assistant.

I studied at Kennesaw State University, and I am a Certified Nurse Assistant as well as a bilingual interpreter. I've worked most recently as a Clinic Assistant and ESOL Paraprofessional at Elkins Pointe Middle School in Fulton County.

I am originally from Colombia and my husband is from Mexico City. We have been married for 30 years and have a fantastic 15 year-old-son who attends Alliance Academy. I enjoy watching car racing shows, swimming, dancing, spending time with my family, and church activities.

I look forward to meeting the new staff and families at New Hope. I'm excited to be working with children, (as well as driving only 5 minutes to work to enjoy a brand new environment.)

Lucy Pattanayak

Hello, Nighthawks! I'm Swetapadma Pattanayak, but people call me Lucy. I'll be an Instructional Assistant at New Hope!

I have my master's degree in Home Science, and I've worked recently as a paraprofessional in 1st and 2nd grades at Chattahoochee Elementary School. I have worked with elementary students for 7 years. I love to work with children and be a part of their growth.

I am originally from India. I have lived in the United States for 13 years. My husband works in IT consulting. We have two boys who are 12 and 8. In my spare time, I enjoy doing arts and crafts.

I am so excited to work with new people at New Hope, and contribute to the community where I am living. Let's go, Nighthawks!
