    Battle of the Books 2024-2025
     
     
     
     
     
    *There is a special section of our school library with the BOTB titles.
    This bookshelf and book titles were purchased with BOTB funds.
    The books are available for BOTB students to check out on a daily basis during the 2024-2025 school year.

    Battle of the Books monthly morning meetings will begin in September. BOTB meetings take place from 7:15-7:40 once a month.
    Teams chart their books, make monthly goals, and practice comprehension questions. All reading is done at home or during free reading time at school.
     
    Students will form a team of 4 at the first meeting. They can choose their own teams. We will help them find a team if they are a "single reader". 
    All members of the team are expected to read at least 1/2 of the books on the list (10-12 books each).
    Students will take an  individual qualifying quiz in April.
    Students receiving 50% or higher will be invited to compete in the BOTB End of year Book Battles.
    The competition is FUN but if you have not read your share of the books - you won't be able to help your team.
