I grew up in Virginia and received my teaching degree from Roanoke College. I have taught 2^nd grade, 4^th grade, and have worked in Special Education.

I have lived in Georgia for 30 years with my husband Jimmy. We have 2 children who are VCE alums. Our son is an University of North Georgia graduate and lives near us with his wife and two dogs. Our daughter is a graduate of Kennesaw State University and is pursuing an advanced degree in speech pathology at Valdosta State University.

I love reading and more importantly, helping students to become life long readers, learners, and leaders.

I also enjoy spending time with my family and enjoying the outdoors.

I am looking forward to working with our school community this year!
