    Course Description:

    Engineering technology is a nine-week course offered to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.  The purpose of the class is to solve technological problems by going through the design process. The student will apply principles of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, interpersonal communication, and teamwork to come up with solutions.

    Hands-on designing and building is emphasized in all grade levels.

    6th grade: Exploring Engineering

    The focus of study in the sixth grade is applying the Engineering and Design Process. We will apply the process to activities like coding and VEX Robots.

    7th grade: Invention and Innovation

    The focus of study in the seventh grade is applying the Engineering and Design Process. We will use the Design Process to build roller coasters and other structures.

    8th grade: Technological Systems

    The focus of study in the Eighth grade is applying the Engineering and Design Process. We will use the design process to build bridges and VEX Robots.
