    Emphasis On: Speed, Quickness, Agility, Balance, and Strength Training

    For: Any SFMS Student

    Where: SFMS gym, rain or shine

    Who: Any student in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th interested in preparing him/herself for athletic performance or a healthy lifestyle.

     

    Why: In an effort to better prepare our students for athletic participation, the South Forsyth Coaches will be holding morning workouts.  Our workouts will consist of high intensity aerobic exercises designed to improve cardiovascular performance, speed, and agility.  Core strength and balance will also be a focus of the program.  In addition, instruction will be given on proper weight lifting technique and form.  Participants will be provided with a folder that will include fitness logs and charts that will be used by the athlete to monitor his/her own progress throughout the program.  Athletic attire will be required to participate and showers will be available and encouraged.  This program should be a great benefit to the athlete and to the athletics programs at South Forsyth Middle School.  The South Forsyth Coaches hope to see you there!!!
