General Clinic Information for Parents and Guardians:

• It is essential to notify the school nurse of any medical conditions that may affect your child during school hours, school activities or in an emergency. Please review your child’s health information in Parent Portal. If there are any new diagnoses, prescribed medications, or resolved conditions, be sure to inform the school nurse. Timely updates are essential for the safety and well-being of your child while at school. 

• To enable the clinic to contact you during the school day, please ensure that your contact phone numbers are up-to-date in Parent Portal. Additionally, consider adding the school’s phone number to your contacts so that the school’s name appears on your caller ID.

• If your student needs to check out early due to an illness, they must first be seen in the school clinic and call home from there for their checkout to be considered excused. If they call or text from their cell phones before reporting to the clinic, it will not be excused. The school nurse will determine if a checkout is excused based on illness or injury during the school day.
