  • Directions to softball field:
    After entering the high school from the Peachtree Parkway entrance, follow the one-way road. Take the first left. You will pass the Performing Arts Center on your right. The road will continue through a 90 degree turn to the left and then a 90 degree turn to the right. At the stop sign turn right and then take an immediate right into the parking area.  You will walk down Fastpitch Lane which will take you around the left side of the building.

    Softball Interest Meeting & Booster Meeting

    Where: Zoom Virtual Meeting
    On June 3, 2020, we will host an informational meeting for rising 9th-12th graders and their parents for the upcoming Fall 2020 Softball Season. 
     
    Tryouts 2020
    We need your contact information in order to communicate information to you in regards to tryouts for the High School & Feeder (Middle School) teams. If you are interested in trying out for the softball program, please click on the appropriate link below to submit your contact information. The grade and information will be for the 2020-21 school year.

    High School (Grades 9-12)

    Feeder/Middle School (Grades 6-8)

     
    2020 Important Dates:
    -The 2020 HIGH SCHOOL tryouts for rising grades 9-12 will be a three day process from Monday, July 6th through Wednesday, July 8th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
    -The 2020 FEEDER (Middle School) tryouts for rising grades 6-8 will be a two day procress from Thursday, July 9th through Friday, July 10th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the South Forsyth High School softball field.
    -Booster Club Meeting: We will have an initial booster club meeting for the high school team on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 6:30 PM at Sharon Springs.
     
    Please read the information below in regards to important dates and required documentation in order to participate. 
     
    Important Documents:
    In order to tryout, the player must obtain a physical, which must be filled out in its entirety, signed. Then, you need to create an account with DragonFly Max and upload all of your information.

    Please see the attached document DragonFly Max for information on signing up and uploading documentation. The forms below must be completed and uploaded in order to participate in tryouts. The forms need to be uploaded by Wednesday, May 1st.

    2. Student Player Handbook- The student athlete handbook form should be reviewed, signed by the student athlete and parent/guardian, and submitted along with the physical packet.

    2019 Fundraising:
    We are a non-profit organization. We do several fundraisers each year to fund the operations of our program. If you are interested in sponsoring our program, there are several options listed below. Your financial support will enable our team to participate in several invitational tournaments held statewide as well as purchase equipment which will help build our program to a truly competitive level.       
    • Sponsor Signs: There are two attachments in regards to fundraising for corporate/business sponsorship signs as well as an email template.

    • Chick-Fil-A Raffle: The 2019 raffle dates have not been set. The raffle is for 52 meals.

    Congratulations to the following players that were selected for the All Forsyth County Softball Team. These players were selected based on their performance during the entire season.

    First Team:

    • Hannah Marchman, 11th
    • Makenna Segal, 11th- Forsyth County Player of the Year

    Second Team:

    • Isabel Hui, 12th
    • Kennedy Ariail, 9th

    Honorable Mention:

    Congratulations to following players that have been selected to the All-Region 5-7A Team and Awards for the 2019 season. These players were selected based on their play during the 2019 region games & tournament by the region coaches to represent our region. This selection was well deserved by these players and their teammates:

    • Makenna Segal – 11th – 4.07
    • Chloe Traynor – 11th – 3.94

     This accomplishment and honor is well deserved. These players have been able demonstrate their ability to balance and perform at high level both academically and athletically. Congratulations ladies. Well done.

    The GACA All-State Softball Teams are for each classification by coaches around the stateThe following South Forsyth players were selected to the 2019 All-AAAAAAA Team based on their performance throughout the regular season and State Playoffs. 

    • Makenna Segal - 11th (2nd team- INF)

     The GACA Junior All-Star teams are divided into a North (Regions 5-8) Roster and a South (Regions 1-4) Roster. The following South Forsyth Juniors were selected to the 2019 North Junior All-Star Team.

    • Makenna Segal - 11th (INF)

    These recognitions are one of the highest honors individuals can receive. They were selected as the top players in the largest classification and among some of the best players not only in the state but in the southeast.

  • 2018 Awards:

    Congratulations to the following players who have been recognized for their performance for the 2018 softball season. Their recognitions are well deserved.

    The GACA All-State Softball Teams are for each classification by coaches around the state. The following South Forsyth players were selected to the 2018 All-AAAAAAA Team based on their performance throughout the regular season and State Playoffs. 

    • Makenna Segal, 11th (2nd team- INF)

    This recognition is one of the highest honors individuals can receive. They were selected as the top 40 players in the largest classification and among some of the best players not only in the state but in the southeast.

    Congratulations to following players that have been selected to the All-Region 5-7A Team and Awards for the 2018 season. These players were selected based on their play during the 2018 region games & tournament  by the region coaches to represent our region. This selection was well deserved by these players and their teammates.

    National Signing Day.  This is a special day in the lives of several of our seniors who will be officially signing their scholarship to play softball at the collegiate level. Congratulations to the following ladies on signing to play softball at the collegiate level.
