Service OrganizationsThe SFHS Service Organizations are groups of dedicated students who spend their time and effort to improve the community (large and small), the school, and the student and faculty population. Here you will also find organizations who promote school spirit and participation.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. We believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities.
Interact Club
Emma Daklouche
Interact Club is the youth level branch of the Rotary Club, the largest service organization in the world at 1.4 million members. At Interact, we focus on student-led community services, where our members suggest and choose the projects we conduct, as well as elect temporary leaders for these projects. Some of our most notable projects include our Treats for Troops Candy Drive (130lbs of candy collected for active military) and our Atlanta Mission Clothing Drive (1,000 items of clothing collected).

Junior Optimist International

Participation in Junior Optimist International gives young people the opportunity to serve their communities. Students who are involved in Junior Optimist Clubs learn about and practice good citizenship, teamwork, communication and money management. They feel good about themselves and have high self-esteem.

Madhatter Knits Club

SFHS Madhatter Knits is an organization that knits mini beanies for premature babies in the NICUs. By joining our organization, you can earn easy volunteer hours by knitting in the comfort of your home. Dedicated members can even get a certificate signed by the US President (PVSA)! We have monthly meetings and will teach all our new members how to knit so don't worry if you don't already know. Everyone is welcome to join!
