    President: Jake Scharff

My name is Jake Scharff and I am your 2017-18 FCHS DECA President. I am in 11th grade. I first joined DECA as a freshman. I joined DECA because I wanted to explore my interest in marketing and I also joined because I wanted to compete.

I have competed each year that I have been in DECA. Competition is my favorite part about DECA because it is the most fun. In competition you have to be able to think on your feet and be ready for any situation. That is why I love competition.  DECA has also helped me to build friendships that I wouldn't trade for the world. Overall DECA has played a large part in making me the person who I am today. It has made me a better public speaker, problem solver, and thinker. DECA is very important to me and I look forward to being able to lead the chapter to great things during the 2017-18 school year!

    VP of Marketing: Allison Lee

My name is Allison Lee and I'm a junior here at FCHS! I am your DECA VP of Marketing for the 2017-2018 school year! I joined DECA because I had heard a lot about it but didn't quite know what it was. I thought it would be a fun way to make new friends and have some really cool experiences. My favorite part of DECA is competition. The past 2 years, I wrote business plans for my event and that was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done! My first year, I placed 3rd at state and the second year I placed 1st at state competition. Both years I got to advance to the international level of competition where I placed in the top 20%! I am excited to take on this year and look forward to meeting all of the new and old DECA members!

    VP of Finance: Emma Harding

My name is Emma Harding and I am a sophomore at Forsyth Central High school. I am your VP of Finance for Forsyth Central's DECA chapter this year! DECA is such an amazing organization that has allowed for me to experience many great new things. This is my 2nd year in DECA and I am supper excited for the many years ahead. Last year I competed in a role play at Regional Competition but went onto State Competition attending the Emerging Leadership Academy. From there, I moved on to go to ICDC in Anaheim, California to attend the Emerging Leadership Academy, called IGNITE. Going to the many leadership academies has allowed for me to develop the right skills that will help me with my leadership position as VP of Finance this year!
