New Student Registration
Welcome to Forsyth County Schools! We are glad that you are joining our growing family. Forsyth County Schools has a centralized registration process and does not register students at individual schools. Registration is available at the Almon C. Hill Educational Center, located at 136 Almon C. Hill Drive (formerly 136 Elm St), Cumming, GA 30040. Directions: Click here for Map and Directions pdf

We are offering two options for appointments:
An appointment in your home using the Forsyth County Schools virtual registration system. The required computer hardware and software are as follows:
a computer with an internet connection,
a web camera connected to the computer,
a microphone connected to the computer, and
the latest version of Adobe Reader DC (free to download).
An appointment at the Almon C. Hill Center utilizing Forsyth County School computers and meeting with a registrar through our virtual system.
Remember, you do not need all the registration documents to start the process. The only required item is the parent/guardian valid photo identification. Additional registration documents can be uploaded to our office after the process is started. Once all required registration documents are provided and approved, new students will be able to start school.
To register pre-k through twelfth grade students for the 2021/22 school year, select which type of appointment you would like:
At Home Virtual or
Hill Center Appointment.
Please note there are 2 different sets of steps depending upon which type of appointment you would like. The first set of instructions in purple are the at home virtual appointments steps, and the second set of instructions in blue are the Hill Center computer station appointments.
At Home Virtual Appointment Instructions
Step 1 – Complete the pre-registration online form by clicking on this link to access the pre-registration online form. Steps 2 and 3 must be done for an appointment to be established. (Do NOT complete step 1 on a cell phone or tablet.)
Step 2 – Gather all registration documents that you have. For a complete list of required documents by click on this link to access the list of the required documents.
Step 3 - Set up your account on the virtual registration website. Make sure to register as a new user. Write down your username and password. Next upload each registration document that you have ready by clicking on this link to upload all of the necessary forms. At this link, request a virtual appointment time by hitting the “Request Virtual Appointment” button. You will be directed to a new page, select an available date/time, and then hit submit. You must upload at least 1 item in order to see the Request Virtual Appointment link.
Step 4 - You will be sent a link 15 – 20 minutes prior to your scheduled virtual appointment time. This link will connect you to the registrar who will complete your registration appointment.

Hill Center Appointment Instructions
Step 1 – Click here to select an appointment time. Due to space limitations, only 1 parent/guardian may come into the Hill Center.
Step 2 - Complete the pre-registration online form by clicking on this link to access the form. (Do NOT complete this step on a cell phone or a tablet.)
Step 3 – Gather all registration documents that you have. For a complete list of required documents, click here to access the complete list.
Step 4 – Arrive at the Hill Center a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time with the registration documents that you have gathered. Park in the back of the building. Use the covered walkway marked Student Records and Registration. The complete appointment will take approximately 1 hour.
