Arkoh-Adejei, Eric

I am Eric, a Paraprofessional in Accommodated Curriculum Autism (ACA) classroom. I have been a paraprofessional in FCS for four years ( 1 year in Desana middle school and 3 years in Midway elementary school). I also serve as 88M in US Army Reserves in Statham, Georgia. I have been married to Lilly, my amazing wife, for eleven years, and we have our daughter, Blessing, and a boy on the way.
 
I am originally from Ghana in West Africa, where I taught Social Studies and Literature for 8 years in high school. I have BBA in Human Resource Management from Garden City University, Diploma in Education from University of Education, Winneba and Higher National Diploma in Tourism from Cape Coast Technical University (all in Ghana).
I am currently working on my elementary education at Brenau University, Gainesville.
 
I love to spend time with my family, cook intermittently, watch boxing, go to the gym, and most importantly read my Bible very often.

Barylak, Jill

Hi Mustangs! My name is Jill Barylak. I am an occupational therapist and I am starting my 10th year at Midway. I have worked in this field for over 20 years and love working with students and their families. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in health promotion and exercise science. I also attended The Medical College of Georgia for a degree in occupational therapy. I have been married for 20 years and have two high school age children. I am looking forward to another great year at Midway!

Mrs. DeRoy has been providing speech and language services in a variety of settings for 25 years. She holds a state license and a national certification. She loves working with children and partnering with parents and teachers so students can become the best they can be. She is looking forward to another fantastic year at Midway!

Hi Midway Mustangs! This is my 4th year at Midway. For my first 2 years at Midway, I developed and taught Innovation Station, which is a part of our Specials. Last year, I was an IA in Special Education PreK. This year, I will be teaching SBA in my first year of the Forsyth Teacher Academy. I have a BSW from Georgia State University. I have a daughter in 7th grade as well as a son who is in 4th grade here at Midway. When I am not at school, I enjoy hiking, photography, and yoga. Looking forward to a wonderful year together!

Miller, Julie

I am so excited to be back as the ACA teacher again! I am very close with my family and love spending time with my sisters, my mom, grandma, dad, stepdad, and stepbrother. I live on coffee, energy drinks, and snacks. I have a dog, Leo, and two kittens that I got over the summer, Cheddar and Valley. I am currently getting my Master's degree and cannot wait to graduate in December. I look forward to one more year as a part of the Mustang family!

Hi Midway family. This is my 6th year at Midway. I have been working as an instructional assistant with special needs Pre-K for the past 7 years. My family and I have lived in Forsyth county for the past 13 years. I have two boys. My elder son is at Alliance Academy and my younger son is in New Hope Elementary. In my off time I love to read and spend time with my family. We love to go hiking during our breaks. I am looking forward to another fun-filled year at Midway.

Hello! I am so excited to start this new school year! This is going to be my 6th year teaching and my 4th year as an interrelated special education teach. I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a dual degree in early childhood education and special education. My passion is working students of varying abilities and interests, and traveling to learn more about the beautiful geography, cultures, and people of countries around the world! Hello! This is my 14th year as a Speech/Language Pathologist and my 5th year at Midway. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of West Georgia. I enjoy working with children of all ages and love seeing them progress in their goals! When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing with my almost 4 year old son, spending time with friends & family, traveling and going to concerts. I’m ready to have a GREAT year!

Saldana, Cristina

Dr. Cristina Saldana is the district's bilingual speech-language pathologist. She specializes in exceptional childhood education and holds an ESOL endorsement. She has worked with Forsyth County Schools for 15 years. Prior to that, she worked in public schools and hospitals in New York, Connecticut and Mexico. She is the author of many books in the field, which can be viewed on Amazon. Cristina was born and raised in New York and is of Colombian and Puerto Rican heritage. Her passion is to create materials that better serve the culturally and linguistically diverse population. She is the owner of Bilingual Resources for Therapists and Teachers. Cristina has a son who keeps her busy with high school marching band and a daughter who loves to dance.

Hey there Mustangs! This is my 11th year teacher and my 3rd year as an IRR teacher! I have been part of Midway for 6 years now and love being a part of this family. Before teaching IRR, I was a special needs PreK teacher here at Midway. I also taught students with severe emotional and behavior disorders. I graduated from Georgia College & State University with a degree in Special Education. I believe every student is capable of amazing things and it is my job to help them recognize that. I recently got engaged to my fiance, Garrett, and am in the middle of planning our wedding that will take place in December. I enjoy time with my family, friends, and sweet pup, Piper. I am looking to an amazing year of learning & growing!

This is my second year at Midway as a Special Ed. Instructional assistant. I worked as a substitute teacher at Midway for 3 years prior to this. My husband Mohan and I have been living in Forsyth County for the past 10 years. We have 2 children; a boy, who is a junior attending Denmark Highschool; and a girl who is in the 6th grade at DeSana. As a family, we enjoy watching movies, traveling, and spending time together. I am looking forward to an amazing school year! Go Mustangs!

Welcome to another wonderful school year at Midway! This year I will be working with 1st and 2nd grade. I'm excited to be here and look forward to meeting any new Mustangs. I graduated from Michigan State University (undergrad) and Eastern Michigan University (Masters) many years ago!! I've taught all elementary grade levels but my true passion is Special Education. This will be my 33rd year teaching-hard to believe. My husband and I have been married for 32 years and have three grown children who all attended Forsyth County Schools. My favorite thing about teaching is developing relationships with all students while watching them grow and learn. Midway is a special place to be.

Wright, Stacey

Hi! My name is Stacey Wright. I was born in New Jersey, but moved to Georgia in high school. I married my best friend, Trent from high school and we have 2 children, Jordan and Trevor. Jordan will be a sophomore at UGA this fall, and Trevor will be a senior at West Forsyth. I have been working in Forsyth County for 15 years. I have always worked in Special Education or Early Intervention Prevention. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development, a Master of Education in Behavior, and Learning Disabilities and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology. When I am not teaching, I love reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. This is my 2nd year at Midway and I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of an incredible staff and family! I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year!

I am Michelle Zambrano. Teaching is my passion! My experience includes general education kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I have also worked as a special education teacher. I am now a special needs pre-k teacher. It has been one of my favorite teaching experiences!
