Arkoh-Adejei, Eric

I am Eric Arkoh Adjei, but I prefer to be called Mr. Eric. I am 39, and have been a Mustang since 2019 as ACA Instructional Assistant. I worked in Desana middle school as ACA IA for a year before coming to Midway. I also serve in the US Army as 88M. I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, Higher National Diploma in Tourism, and a Diploma in Education. I am currently pursuing BSC in Elementary Education at Brenau University. I am originally from Ghana in West Africa, but I currently live in Buford in Gwinnett county with my wife and two kids. Prior to moving to the United States, I worked in Ghana Education Service (GES) as a housemaster and Social Studies tutor in high school for 8 years. My favorite color is black, and my favorite sport is boxing. I love running and I love to cook intermittently. My favorite stores are Amazon, Ross and TJ Maxx. Chick fil A and Chipotle are my favorite restaurants.

Barylak, Jill

Hi Mustangs! My name is Jill Barylak. I am an occupational therapist and I am starting my 10th year at Midway. I have worked in this field for over 20 years and love working with students and their families. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in health promotion and exercise science. I also attended The Medical College of Georgia for a degree in occupational therapy. I have been married for 20 years and have two high school age children. I am looking forward to another great year at Midway!

Mrs. DeRoy has been providing speech and language services in a variety of settings for over 25 years. She holds a state license and a national certification. Hi Midway Mustangs! This is my 5th year at Midway. For my first 2 years at Midway, I developed and taught Innovation Station which is a part of our Specials Team. The year following, I was an IA in Special Education PreK. This will be my 2nd year teaching SBA(Skills Based Autism). I have a BSW from Georgia State University and will be receiving my Teacher Certificate in Special Education as a member of the Forsyth Teacher Academy Cohort this December. I have a daughter in 8th grade as well as a son who is in 5th grade here at Midway. Looking forward to a wonderful year together!

Hey Mustangs, my name is Breanna Johnson, soon to be Toole! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University with an ESOL and reading endorsement, as well as certified in Special Education. I decided after all the learning I’ve done that I wasn’t finished yet. I am currently getting my master's from the University of West Georgia in Elementary Education.
 
After graduating, I moved back to Cumming to be near my family. I am getting married in September of this year to my fiancé Jordan. In my free time I love to read and spend time with my family and friends. I am super excited about this school year Midway!

I live with my husband, two boys and a dog in Alpharetta. In my free time, I love to paint and go on adventures with my family.

This is my third year at Midway teaching ACA with my wonderful paraprofessional, Eric. I was born and raised in Georgia and attended Kennesaw State University, I also earned my master’s degree this past December from American College of Education. I will be adopting my boyfriends' (Matt) amazing daughter when we get married, so I have a 6-year-old little girl named Aurora. I love spending time with Matt and Aurora, spending time with my family and friends, trying new food, being silly and goofy, as well as hiking with my dog Leo.

Hello Midway family. This is my 7th year here at Midway. I have been working as an instructional assistant with special needs Pre-K for the past 8 years. My family and I have lived in Forsyth county for the past 14 years. I have two wonderful boys. My elder son is at Alliance Academy and my younger son is starting in middle school at Vickery Creek. Hello! This is my 15th year as a Speech/Language Pathologist and my 6th year at Midway. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of West Georgia. I enjoy working with children of all ages and love seeing them progress in their goals! When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing with my almost 5 year old son, spending time with friends & family, traveling, and going to concerts. I’m ready to have a GREAT year!

Hello Mustangs! I am so excited to start a new adventure as an IRR teacher this year at Midway. I previously taught 1st grade for 8 years and was also a Kindergarten paraprofessional. I have spent my entire teaching career here at Midway. I graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I have been married to my wonderful husband for thirteen years now, and we have two wonderful boys, Gabe and Miles. I love to go to the movies with my husband, watch college football (Go Dawgs!!), and just spend time with my family. I am also a huge Harry Potter fan. Saldana, Cristina

Dr. Cristina Saldana has worked in the Forsyth County School District for 17 years. Prior to that, she worked in hospitals, nursing homes and schools in New York, Connecticut, and Mexico. She also holds a degree in Exceptional Childhood Education, Spanish Extension/Certification, ESOL Endorsement, and Teacher of the Speech & Hearing Handicapped Certification. She is the author of many books in the field of Communication Disorders and the owner of Bilingual Resources for Therapists & Teachers. This is her third year at Midway Elementary.

Hello Midway Mustangs.This is my third year at Midway as a Special Ed. Instructional assistant for SBA. My husband Mohan and I have been living in Forsyth County for the past 11 years. We have 2 children; a boy, who is a Senior attending Denmark High school; and a girl who is in the 7th grade at De Sana. As a family, we enjoy watching movies, traveling, and spending time together. Hi! My name is Stacey Wright. I was born in New Jersey, but moved to Georgia in high school. I married my best friend, Trent from high school and we have 2 children, Jordan and Trevor. Jordan will be a junior at UGA this fall, and Trevor will beginning a film program in Atlanta. I have been working in Forsyth County for 16 years. I have always worked in Special Education or Early Intervention Prevention. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development, a Master of Education in Behavior, and Learning Disabilities and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology. When I am not teaching, I love reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I am so happy to have another year teaching special needs pre-k. I have been teaching for over 20 years as a general education teacher and special education teacher. It is my passion!
My education includes a B.S in ECE, Masters in Literacy, Specialist in Educational Leadership, and Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have endorsements in reading and gifted instruction.
