Hi Mustangs! My name is Jill Barylak. I am an occupational therapist and I am starting my 10th year at Midway. I have worked in this field for over 20 years and love working with students and their families. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in health promotion and exercise science. I also attended The Medical College of Georgia for a degree in occupational therapy. I have been married for 20 years and have two high school age children. I am looking forward to another great year at Midway!

Hi Midway Mustangs! I am so excited to be back at Midway this year! This will be my 12th year teaching- 7 of which have been at Midway. I have taught 4th grade and 2nd grade, and I am so excited for a new adventure as a Special Ed IRR teacher. I can't wait to get to know all of you and learn and grow together this year. 

Mrs. DeRoy has been providing speech and language services in a variety of settings for over 25 years. She holds a state license and a national certification. She loves working with children and partnering with parents and teachers so students can become the best they can be. She is looking forward to another fantastic year at Midway!

I am thrilled to be a Midway Mustang! This will be my 1st year as an instructional assistant. I have worked as a substitute teacher in Forsyth county schools since 2020.

I live with my husband, two boys and a dog in Alpharetta. In my free time, I love to paint and go on adventures with my family.

I am looking forward to a great school year!

My first position as a Para was a one on one position at South Forsyth High School, then worked at Central High School 1 semester then to Sharon Elementary to finish out last school year. I found that I really enjoyed working with the Littles and I am very happy to continue working with them here at Midway.

This is my third year at Midway teaching ACA with my wonderful paraprofessional, Eric. I was born and raised in Georgia and attended Kennesaw State University, I also earned my master’s degree this past December from American College of Education. I will be adopting my boyfriends' (Matt) amazing daughter when we get married, so I have a 6-year-old little girl named Aurora. I love spending time with Matt and Aurora, spending time with my family and friends, trying new food, being silly and goofy, as well as hiking with my dog Leo. 

Hello Midway family. This is my 7th year here at Midway. I have been working as an instructional assistant with special needs Pre-K for the past 8 years. My family and I have lived in Forsyth county for the past 14 years. I have two wonderful boys. My elder son is at Alliance Academy and my younger son is starting in middle school at Vickery Creek. In my free time I love to read and spend time with my family. We love to go hiking during our breaks. I am looking forward to another fun-filled year at Midway. 

Hello! This is my 15th year as a Speech/Language Pathologist and my 6th year at Midway. I obtained my bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of West Georgia. I enjoy working with children of all ages and love seeing them progress in their goals! When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing with my almost 5 year old son, spending time with friends & family, traveling, and going to concerts. I’m ready to have a GREAT year!

Hello Mustangs! I am so excited to start a new adventure as an IRR teacher this year at Midway. I previously taught 1st grade for 8 years and was also a Kindergarten paraprofessional. I have spent my entire teaching career here at Midway. I graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I have been married to my wonderful husband for thirteen years now, and we have two wonderful boys, Gabe and Miles. I love to go to the movies with my husband, watch college football (Go Dawgs!!), and just spend time with my family. I am also a huge Harry Potter fan. I am looking forward to working with you and your children to make this an AMAZING year!

Hi! My name is Cara Richardson! I graduated from Georgia College & State University in May with my Bachelor of Science in Special Education. I am thrilled to begin my first year teaching at Midway Elementary in a Skills-Based Autism classroom! 

Dr. Cristina Saldana has worked in the Forsyth County School District for 17 years. Prior to that, she worked in hospitals, nursing homes and schools in New York, Connecticut, and Mexico. She also holds a degree in Exceptional Childhood Education, Spanish Extension/Certification, ESOL Endorsement, and Teacher of the Speech & Hearing Handicapped Certification. She is the author of many books in the field of Communication Disorders and the owner of Bilingual Resources for Therapists & Teachers. This is her third year at Midway Elementary. 

I married and have two daughters, Ashtynn 19 and Lexie 13. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood education/K-12 Special Education from the University of West Florida as well as my Master's Degree. This is my 11th year teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, Third, Special Education 4-6th, and Special Needs Pre-K. On my free time, I like to spend time with my girls or go hiking or to the beach. 

Hi! My name is Stacey Wright. I was born in New Jersey, but moved to Georgia in high school. I married my best friend, Trent from high school and we have 2 children, Jordan and Trevor. Jordan will be a junior at UGA this fall, and Trevor will beginning a film program in Atlanta. I have been working in Forsyth County for 16 years. I have always worked in Special Education or Early Intervention Prevention. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development, a Master of Education in Behavior, and Learning Disabilities and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology. When I am not teaching, I love reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. This is my 3rd year at Midway and I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of an incredible staff and family! I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year!
