Amy Bartlett-Principal

  • Amy Bartlett comes from a long line of educators and says no other field would be right for her. “I made the decision to become a teacher when I was in the third grade,” she says. “I can’t imagine working in any other profession.”

Mrs. Bartlett has been an educator in Forsyth County Schools since 2002 and has worked as an assistant principal at Big Creek Elementary and Shiloh Point Elementary. Mrs. Bartlett is looking forward to her fourteenth year as principal of Sharon Elementary.  “I have thoroughly enjoyed establishing relationships with the students, staff, and families at Sharon Elementary School.”

In her role as principal, Mrs. Bartlett says she most enjoys “immersing herself in the teaching and learning that occurs in FCS classrooms.” “I enjoy talking with the students about their learning and interacting with them,” she says. “I have a passion for curriculum and instruction and enjoy working with teachers to stay current on best instructional practices.”

Mrs. Bartlett resides in Forsyth County with her husband, Jeff, and their two sons, Brody and Brandon. She is an avid football fan and most of her Saturdays in the fall are spent cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. During the summer, Mrs. Bartlett and her family enjoy spending time on St. Simons Island.

She holds degrees from Georgia State University, Columbia University and the State University of New York at Oswego.  She is also a National Board Certified Teacher.
