Emily Askew
This will be Emily Askew’s 3rd year at Chestatee and 2nd year as a Kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Askew has her bachelors degree from The University of West Georgia in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Special Education. Mrs. Askew will graduate in July of 2022 with a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education as well as an ESOL endorsement. Mrs. Askew is excited about the upcoming school year and can’t wait to watch her students learn. She loves being at the “T”!

Julie Davis
This will be Mrs. Davis’ sixth year teaching kindergarten in Forsyth County. She has previously taught 2nd grade and GA Pre-K. Mrs. Davis received her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a reading endorsement. She is extremely excited about being at the T and cannot wait to meet her new students in the upcoming year.

Leah Duval
Leah Duval is so excited to be starting her 5th year at Chestatee on the Kindergarten team. She has previously worked in the Private Pre-Kindergarten setting, and 3rd Grade in public education. Leah has earned her ESOL endorsement and is Mindfullness trained in Forsyth County. She and her husband, Rick, have two girls (one who will attend 5th grade at Chestatee, and the other who will be a Junior at Lambert). They love spending time outdoors. Her gifts to teaching are a big heart and having a strong enthusiasm for creating lifelong learners. She cannot wait for next year!

Amy Beth Garrett
Amy Beth Garrett has spent her teaching career at Chestatee Elementary. She has a BS of Consumer and Family Sciences from UGA, Teaching Certificate from West Ga. College, Masters from University of North Ga, and Specialist degree from Lesley University. She also has her Gifted Certification. She loves teaching in the caring environment of Chestatee. She has taught both kindergarten and 2nd grade and is returning to Kindergarten for the 21-22 school year.

Dana Jenkins
Mrs. Jenkins is very excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Chestatee Elementary this year! She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in Elementary Literacy from Western Carolina University. This year will be her eleventh year of teaching. She loves making learning fun and engaging, while ensuring that she meets the needs of all her students. She loves teaching Kindergarten and instilling a love for learning at a young age. She is glad to be a part of the Chestatee family!

Meredith Ross
This will be Meredith Ross' 9th year teaching and second year at Chestatee. Miss. Ross soon to be Mrs. Sellers received her Bachelor's degree from Ga Southern University, her Master's degree from Kennesaw State University , and her Specialist degree from Piedmont University. She has taught grades K-3 including 2nd grade ESOL. She is very excited to continue to serve our families this year as a Kindergarten teacher!

Alicia Tilden
This will be Mrs. Tilden's 21st year of teaching and her 10th year of teaching at Chestatee. Mrs. Tilden received her Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and her Master's degree from Mercer University. She has had the wonderful opportunity to teach 5th, 3rd and 2nd grades. She has taught kindergarten for 10 years. She is very excited to be teaching kindergarten again and can't wait to meet her new class!
