The 2021-22 school year marks the start of my 27th year of teaching. I started my career in Chicago and then moved to Georgia 23 years ago. I have taught in Cobb County, Fulton County, and then many years ago found my favorite place to work and live in Forsyth County. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught every grade level between kindergarten and 8th grade. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology, and then I became a certified special education teacher. Since working in Forsyth County, I have completed a master’s degree in Educational Leadership & Technology and a specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I love being part of the Mashburn Family!
I graduated in May of 2020 from the University of North Georgia, in which I obtained my bachelors degree in Early Childhood & Special Education! I also received a reading endorsement along with my degree. This will be my first full year at Mashburn & my second year teaching special education! I cannot wait to see what this upcoming year has to offer & for another amazing year as a Mashburn blue bear!

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children on the lake!
I began my teaching career in 1998. I have taught all grades K-8 in both resource and inclusion settings. I have spent the last two decades in lower elementary. I love the joy that younger students have when learning!
My name is Tabitha Morrison and I am beyond excited to join the Mashburn family! I spent 4 years playing softball at Brenau University where I received a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. After graduating in May 2020, I began my master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of South Carolina where I will graduate in 2024. I live in Dawsonville with my mom & dad, & most importantly my cavapoo “Banjo”. I enjoy going to CrossFit & then eating my weight in brownies later. I can’t wait to meet all of the students & kick off the school year!
