I have been a Big Creek Wildcat for my entire career!! All but one of those years have been in kindergarten. Working with the younger students brings me so much joy. It is a very rewarding career! Big Creek is my home away from home and I love being with my Big Creek Family. I have lived in Cumming since 1991 and raised both my kids here. My husband and I enjoy our empty nest and doing things together: gardening, traveling, hanging out at the lake and spending lots of time with our family and friends. In my quiet time I love to read and sit on the beach.

I have had the honor and privilege of teaching kindergarten at Big Creek since 2012. I have a degree in English and Political Science from Mercer University in Macon, GA. I have also earned a Master's Degree from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education. While I have taught both high school English and middle school Language Arts, my passion for teaching lies in kindergarten. I believe that kindergarten is the very foundation of a child's education. It is a VERY important year in the life of every child! I am married and have two children both of whom are graduates of GA State University. My husband is a retired high school principal. My hobbies are spending time with family and friends, working out at the gym, and reading. I'm looking forward to another wonderful year with my precious little wildcats!
