As a Sharon interrelated teacher since August 2004, I have been fortunate to work with some amazing teachers and even more amazing children!  I truly love teaching. There is nothing like seeing a child light up when they discover something new or realize they understand a recently introduced concept.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Education from Dowling College in New York.  My certification is in both special education and early childhood education.  I’ve worked with students of varying disabilities in New York, Florida, and Georgia.

Originally from Long Island, New York, I have lived in Georgia for over twenty years.  I enjoy reading, exercising, and spending time with family and friends. I especially love vacationing at the beach!

Hi! My family and I moved here two years ago from New York. Working at Sharon this year was a blessing. I have met amazing children, families and staff! I couldn’t feel more blessed to be a part of the amazing Sharon family that afforded my girls a seamless transition into a new place they called home. I have one daughter who is attending Sharon and two daughters in middle school. After working here, I know why they loved Sharon so much!

Last year I taught special education in Gwinnett County. I have been teaching, tutoring and helping parents and children advocate for over twenty three years. I have a BA in Elementary Education and English and an MS with a specialization in Mathematics for grades K-6  from Queens College University, New York. I have taught in elementary school and middle school both as a general education and special education teacher. Additionally, I have tutored students of all ages - including high school students for the SAT and ACT exams. I am certified in Special Education and to teach grades PK-8. I have worked with bilingual students for many years, teaching them how to read and write English.

I was also an adjunct professor at Queens College teaching non-native speakers and taught teaching-fellows Math Methodology for Elementary School. While teaching the latter, I taught students how to provide accommodations for students with special needs. Serving students and families with special needs has always been a passion, which is why I am even more excited to be here and working with our children.

I am greatly looking forward to serving our community and being a part of the Sharon team!
