Hello, my name is Julie Guimbarda. I have been teaching for 18 years in multiple states at various levels.  The last 14 years I have been teaching in Forsyth County primarily in elementary and special education.  Last year I joined Sharon in the Pre-K program and love working with young children.

I have a large family and grew up in Michigan where I earned my Undergraduate degree at Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I later received my Master’s of Education at University of Houston in Curriculum and Instruction. It is here where I met my wonderful husband Carlos and started my family. My oldest son Nick is pursuing his dream of becoming a doctor at the Medical College of Georgia. My daughter Marissa attends Clemson University, plays softball,  and will graduate in 2021.  She will  pursue her Master’s Degree in Youth Development Leadership.

I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, camping, and playing with our new dog, Cooper.

I feel blessed to be a part of Forsyth County Schools and Sharon Elementary!

Welcome to another wonderful year at Sharon! This school year will be my fourteenth year as an educator, and my fourth year at Sharon. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education, and a certification in Special Education as well as endorsements in math and teacher leadership.  I am looking forward to collaborating with classroom teachers to facilitate your child’s learning and assist them in reaching their greatest level of success! While working on academics, I strive to build personal and meaningful relationships with each of my students and their families.

My husband, John, and I are the very proud parents of three beautiful, busy boys. We have Logan-10, Brock-4, and Phoenix- 2. Spending time with my family, no matter what we may be doing, is my favorite way to spend time! As you can imagine, I stay in constant motion raising three active boys. I also enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, personal fitness, and LOTS of coffee (How else can I keep going?)! Our family loves to vacation at the beach, and when possible, John and I like to escape to the North Georgia mountains for a quiet retreat.

I treasure each of your children and their unique differences, needs, and learning styles. This year will be a wonderful experience for all!

Hi! My family and I moved here last June from New York. My three girls attended Sharon last year and my oldest will attend South Middle this year. My husband, Steve Lindenfeld, teaches math at Lambert High School. Though moving out of state was an adjustment, I couldn’t feel more blessed to be a part of the amazing Sharon family that afforded my girls a seamless transition.

Last year I taught special education in Gwinnett County. I have been teaching, tutoring and helping parents and children advocate for over twenty three years. I have a BA in Elementary Education and English and an MS with a specialization in Mathematics for grades K-6  from Queens College University, New York. I have taught in elementary school and middle school both as a general education and special education teacher. Additionally, I have tutored students of all ages - including high school students for the SAT and ACT exams. I am certified in Special Education and to teach grades PK-8. I have worked with bilingual students for many years, teaching them how to read and write English.

I was also an adjunct professor at Queens College teaching non-native speakers and taught teaching fellows Math Methodology for Elementary School. While teaching the latter, I taught students how to provide accommodations for students with special needs. Serving students and families with special needs has always been a passion, which is why I am even more excited to be here and working with our children.

I am greatly looking forward to serving our community and being a part of the Sharon team!
