Mrs. Chelsea Bartalini, Intervention
I'm so excited to officially be a part of the Sharon Family. I started my journey at Sharon last year as a substitute teacher and loved it so much that I didn’t want to leave! My husband Stephen, and our two daughters Lyla and Reese (both Sharon students) moved from Waxhaw, NC July of 2021 and have loved every minute of our new chapter.
I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Social Sciences. I’ve had years of experience working with kiddos of all ages through my past work at the YMCA. This will be my first year as an Interventionist and I am beyond excited. Through substituting, I was able to gain a lot of experience and knowledge in this field, and I look forward to having the opportunity to continue to grow and learn within the position. It's going to be a GREAT year and I can't wait to see what lies ahead!

Mrs. Laura Mazul, ESOL
Are you ready for the best year yet? Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
This will be my 11th year teaching and my 8th year at Sharon. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2012 with my Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. I believe that one should never stop learning, so I returned to KSU and received my Masters in Inclusive Education. My favorite part of teaching it is telling my students they are capable, and watching them believe in themselves while conquering their goals.
My greatest passions are teaching and animals. In fact, my love of animals and hippotherapy led me to become a teacher. My husband and I live on a farm where we have 2 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 cats.
I look forward to getting to know you. This will be a great year!

Mrs. Jessica Nardecchia, EIP
My name is Jessica Nardecchia, and I am so excited to be returning for a 5th year to Sharon Elementary. I taught 4th grade at Sharon Elementary for 4 years, and I am looking forward to being an Early Intervention teacher this year.
I earned both my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Master of Arts in Education, with an endorsement in reading, from The University of Findlay, located in Ohio. My husband, Cory, and I relocated from Ohio to the Atlanta area in 2014 and immediately fell in love with the Georgia life!
The 2022-2023 school year will be my 9th year teaching. Before coming to Sharon Elementary, I taught as a 3rd-grade teacher in Gwinnett County Public Schools. During my time in Gwinnett, I completed my gifted endorsement, enabling me to encourage innovative and creative thinking in my classroom. I enjoy fostering a supportive family-like feel in my classroom, where students feel supported and encouraged in their learning.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and dog! We love going on walks, playing, and exploring new areas together! We also enjoy watching movies, attending concerts, going out to eat, and spending time with friends.

Mrs. Kelly Scherer, Intervention
Hi! My name is Kelly Scherer and I love being a part of Sharon!
I received my Bachelor’s degree at the University of North Florida in Elementary Education and taught 3rd grade right out of college. After having kids, I took a hiatus from teaching and became a stay-at-home mom. I worked as a preschool teacher for several years and then joined Sharon Elementary a year ago.
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and lived there my entire life until 6 years ago. In 2016, my husband’s job took our family to the Dallas, Texas area. We enjoyed our time in Texas, but when an opportunity at work was presented to my husband to move back east closer to family, we took it. We moved to Cumming 4 years ago and have been loving our life in Georgia ever since! My wonderful husband and I have 2 amazing children - our daughter, Leah, who is in 10th grade and our son, Levi, who is in 7th grade.
In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading, hiking, exercising, baking, and traveling.
