I am thrilled to be returning to the Sharon speech team full time!  I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Central Florida (go Knights!) and bring more than 20 years of experience as a speech language pathologist (speech therapist) with me. I enjoy working with children who have  a variety of speech and language disorders, and I have a special place in my heart for working with students with social language impairments and autism spectrum disorders.  I am a native of Florida, but came to Georgia twenty years ago by way of Southern California.  I enjoy hiking in the mountains, kayaking and spending time with family and friends, including my two grown boys.

I attended the Forsyth County job fair and was recruited by Sharon Elementary for the 2005-2006 school year.  The 2022-2023 school year will be my eighteenth year and I am looking forward to working with the children, parents, and teachers at Sharon.

I love being part of the speech team at Sharon Elementary!

I began my education at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs) where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. After graduation, I attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and earned a Master of Education degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I then went on to earn my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. I currently hold a Georgia License in Speech-Language Pathology as well as a State of Georgia Teaching Certificate.

I have been happily married to my husband, Shawn, for 24 years. We have been blessed with three wonderful children, who all attended Sharon Elementary for their entire elementary school careers.  Kyle is 20 and heading into his 3rd year at Georgia Tech. Jackson is 18 and is starting his 1st year at UGA (GO DAWGS again).  Rebecca is 14 and will be a freshman in high school this year.

I adore working with your children every day. I look forward to partnering with parents and teachers to help each child be the best they can be!
