I am originally from Indiana where I completed my undergraduate at Ball State University. I also completed my Masters and Specialist programs at University of North Georgia. I began my career in Fulton County Schools where I taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade. Mrs. Walsh is entering her twenty-first year in education and her 7th year as a part of the Forsyth County School system. She is a native of Atlanta and she and her family are proud to call Cumming their home now. Prior to joining the Kelly Mill family as an Assistant Principal, Mrs. Walsh was an administrator, Math Coach, and third-grade teacher in Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Mrs. Walsh has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University and a master’s degree from Brenau University. She obtained her Education Leadership Certification from The University of West Georgia and most recently, her specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College.
When not focusing on teaching and learning, Mrs. Walsh and her family enjoy traveling, being on or near water, and spending time with family and friends. She loves exploring new parks and hiking trails with her daughter.

I have had the pleasure of being a member of the Colt Family since Kelly Mill's doors opened in 2012. As a Forsyth County native and FCSS graduate, it is an honor to watch our school and system continue to excel!
I taught 3rd grade from 2001-2012, 5th grade from 2012-2015, and have been a part of the KME Administrative Team since 2015.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Master's Degree in Technology in Education, and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Leadership Add-On.
My husband, Chuck, and I are blessed with two wonderful children. Our son, Charlie, is an 8th grader at OMS, and our daughter, Molly, is a 3rd grader at KME.

Mrs. Gibbons graduated from Gulf Coast University with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and from Piedmont with her Master’s Degree in Education. She educated children in Florida for twelve years before moving to Georgia. She joined the Kelly Mill family in 2014 where she has taught 5th grade, EIP Math, and is now a member of the KME Administrative Team. She and her husband, Rob, enjoy spending time outdoors with their twin high school boys, Mason and Morgan, and middle school daughter, Rylee.

Ms. Hummel completed her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston in 1998 and after three years of entrepreneurial work, began her teaching career in 2001. She taught middle and high school students for five years in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to Georgia in 2006. She joined Forsyth County Schools (FCSD) and worked for six years at Vickery Creek Elementary before helping open Kelly Mill Elementary in 2012. Ms. Hummel taught visual arts, enrichment, gifted resource, and 5th grade advanced content math and science before joining the administration team in 2016. She earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University in 2016 and holds endorsements in both Gifted and Math (K-8). She will complete her Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College in 2019 and has been chosen to serve as an instructor for FCSD’s gifted endorsement cohort for the 2019-20 school year.
